Natures harmony farm entry

edit

7-1-2014 1:46pm You are not responding to my requests here, and seem to be determined to just delete information from this entry. I'm going to ask for outside assistance. Bruceki (talk) 16:50, 2 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

7-1-2014, 10am: You've again just deleted most of the entry on this farm, without discussion or any edit note. I'm making a good faith effort to resolve your issues with this page, but if you keep just deleting content, I'm going to seek formal resolution of this dispute. Bruceki (talk) 16:50, 2 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

7-1-2014 3am: I'm sending you this message to see if I can't help to resolve the edit war on the natures harmony farm page that you created.

There are several aspects of the operation that aren't mentioned on this page. In no particular order, these include the controversy about the blog and podcast topics, the controversy about the book that was written about the farms operations and philosophy, and the vote rigging of the reviews of both of the books written by Tim Young on amazon.com (accidental farmers, relating to this farm, and poisoned soil, a work of fiction.

The controversial aspects of the farms operation relate to the death of hundreds of animals on this farm from disease and other causes, and the complete change in operations over the course of its 3 year lifespan.

In the edits that you have deleted there are citations for each of these items. It is not clear why you are deleting them. They are every bit as relevant to this farm as any of the other information. If they are inaccurate in some way, or would be improved in some way, I'm open to that discussion.

If you have some sort of objection to the contents of the edit, or wish to clarify, you're welcome to do so. If you are deleting them solely because you don't like them...well, I'd suggest you take a look at the guidelines for submissions again.

If you do not offer some sort of rationale on why these edits were made, I will take the next steps in conflict resolution as discussed here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Dispute_resolution

This message is intended as the first step in the dispute resolution process. Bruceki (talk) 09:09, 1 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Ron, As owner representative of Nature's Harmony Farm LLC it is important to me that this page contains only facts about the business. I have repeatedly made edits to ensure that only the facts about the business itself are included, namely that A) it is a farm, B) it is located in Georgia and C) it produces cheese. External references to support those claims were provided. This page has been repeatedly hijaced by a team of spammers intent on A) damaging the business, B) linking to their own site which is not factual, but rather their subjective opinions, and mentioning names of people and publications that have no role or stake i the farm's business. The result is this is disparaging and damaging to the brand.)

Decline reason:

Given your unwillingness to discuss these issues when invited to, either on this talk page and on the article talk page, it seems to me that your conflict of interest is unacceptably strong on this article. --jpgordon::==( o ) 22:12, 2 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Hi, I would like to request the unblock of my user account. My ignorance of Wikipedia rules made caused me to make errors in judgment. For one, I refused to discuss the edits on a page in which I participated, because I strongly suspected the person who opened the discussion of vandalism. Then, when I was blocked for ignoring warnings, I created new accounts and made the same edit, unaware at the time that this was not allowed. I now understand that it is not allowed and I regret this action. It will not happen again. I did not appreciate that Wikipedia is a collaborative encyclopedia, and that any and every contribution is worthy of a discussion if there is a dispute. My aim is simply to ensure that this article, and any that I participate in editing, reflects objective truth and excludes subjective opinion and links to personal blogs. Therefore, I humbly request to be unblocked. If granted I will participate in the discussion and provide evidence to support my intervention, based on reliable sources. I do have a relationship with the company and that is why I'm interested that the page reflects true information, but there will be no conflict of interest, since if the information entered by another publisher is real, and if that information is documented in reliable sources, I will accept it, respecting the neutrality of Wikipedia. Thanks, and again, my sincere apologies.

Decline reason:

At the moment, given the extent of your edit warring, and your creation of alternative accounts to circumvent the block, I am not comfortable with unblocking you. In this context, could you answer a couple more questions? Looking at the current version of the article - Nature's Harmony Farm - what, if anything, do you want to change? Otherwise, which other articles do you want to edit? PhilKnight (talk) 22:37, 21 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Phil. Regarding the Nature's Harmony Farm article, the only change I would change is the statement that the business (Nature's Harmony Farm) is for sale. I would change that for two reasons. First, it is completely false as the business is not for sale. Second, it is my impression that it would be inappropriate to publish a real estate listing in Wikipedia anyway, as that could be seen as aiding in the process of selling personal property, which is not something you would normally see in an encyclopedia. Regarding your second question, my interest and knowledge is in the area of sustainable farming, farmstead and artisan cheese. It is in these areas that I could contribute to Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Skynyrdman (talkcontribs) 10:59, July 24 2014‎
