Non-free image use

edit

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload new images. However, it appears that one or more of the images you have recently uploaded or added to a page, specifically Bangladesh national cricket team, may fail our non-free image policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted image of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free image criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:24, 21 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi Siratul Mustakim. File:Bangladesh Cricket Board Logo.svg is a non-free image which means that each use of it must satisfy Wikipedia's non-free content use policy. The non-free use of this file in Bangladesh national cricket team was discussed at Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2016 February 18#File:Bangladesh Cricket Board Logo.svg and the close was "remove from Bangladesh national cricket team". If you disagree with this close or would like further clarification of it, please discuss your concerns with the closing administrator on User talk:Explicit as explained in WP:CLOSECHALLENGE. If you have any general questions about non-free content use, please feel free to ask for assistance at WP:MCQ or WT:NFCC. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:31, 21 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
Hi again Siratul Mustakim. Please do not re-add File:Bangladesh Cricket Board Logo.svg to Bangladesh national cricket team with out first discussing things as explained above. This is the second time you've inappropriately added the logo, and the second time you're being asked not to do so. I see that you have not been editing very much and are still a new account, so it's understandable that you might make a good faith mistake and not be familiar with all of Wikipedia's various policies and guidelines. However, if you keep repeating the same mistakes even after being advised not to do so, it will eventually be considered disruptive and an administrator will be asked to get involved. Just for reference, a consensus on Wikipedia can change, so please discuss things with the closing administrator if you feel that the file's non-free use in the article can now be justified. -- Marchjuly (talk) 21:36, 27 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Your userpage

edit

Hi Siral Mustakim. Since you are new, you might be misunderstanding the purpose of a Wikipedia userpage. Userpages are not intended to be personal websites or used like social media. While it's OK to add a little bit of personal information about yourself to your userpage, you should not try to make them look like fake articles. We don't own our userpages, so they techincally can be edited by anyone just as easy as it is to edit any page on Wikipedia. Most experienced editors, however, will leave them alone as long as there are not serious problems which need to be taken care of asap. I think it would be a good idea for you to take a look at WP:UP, in particular WP:UP#NOT, to make sure your userpage does not end up being tagged for deletion per WP:U5. -- Marchjuly (talk) 22:20, 21 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Siratul Mustakim

edit

A tag has been placed on User:Siratul Mustakim requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
