Hello Sikh Khalsa!

Some great contributions from you and I have noted you have used www.sikhs.org as a site of refrence. In my humble opinion www.sikhs.or is one of the best sites around. Keep the good work up.--Sikh-history (talk) 14:42, 25 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

He is making disruptive edits to sikh related articles.

In deh siva he is claiming siva is shiv and refuses to see reason and accuses me of being fundamentalist. actually i had an edit war with him in Bhindranwale and he started editing Sikh articles to harrass me.He is anonymous ip address , you will find him in history of Deh Siva Var Mohe. Keep a watch on sikhism articles for vand. ThanksAjjay (talk) 18:02, 25 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

When you add some information to an article , try and add references (esp. for exceptional claims). Sikh related topics are prone to vandalism, as are host of others. Adding ref. helps guard against vandalism .See[1].Ajjay (talk) 15:44, 28 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Guru Granth Sahib

edit

Check the para, in intro, which starts with, "considered to be a revolutionary act, guru granth sahib was nominated as guru of sikhs by Guru gobind singh....The line considered to be a revolutionary act was added by me. do you think it is appropriate or too vague. do the needful, should it be removed or let it remain.Ajjay (talk) 17:58, 28 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ok thanks. please also check [2]. If you could add some inputs, it would be nice. Ajjay (talk) 12:46, 29 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yes i know that. But i was only explaning to him quickly. He must have read the reason specified by sikh history, but he was not ready to let go of his notions.Ajjay (talk) 13:34, 29 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi friend

edit

Hi friend, I removed "considered to be a revolutionary act" from the Guru Granth Sahib as there seems to be a lot of trouble makers asking for a cite. Now everyone in the 25 million Sikh community knows it was "a revolutionary act", you and me know it was a revolutionary act. However, there are a lot of non-sikhs or militant Atheists on this site who don't believe in anything or a reason why the Universe exists and are pushing their Atheists views so I removed it to prevent giving these trouble makers more ammunition. But, please dig a cite up for it, I am sure Khushwant Singh has written in one of his books exactly that statement. Moreover, there is a user pushing the view that the Guru Granth Sahib has to have no things in it that other scriptures don't have in their articles e.g. bible or koran. This is a false conclusion - every article is unique and should be written uniquely for that article. More specifically I am talking about the removal by a user on the section about Non sikh comments e.g nobel prize winner about the Guru Granth sahib just because there is not one in the others articles on scriptures. This is a false conclusion - every article is unique and should be written uniquely for that article.--Sikh khalsa (talk) 14:19, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

I have a ref. for the phrase "revolutionary act". i didn't add the ref., cause i thought that no prob. would be there. Now i can't find it, but i will locate the ref. soon and add it back. No worry. Also, you know a lot of people visit wiki, all types. As Sggs says, only those realize the lord, whom he wishes to. We should not be angry on anybody. Also the person who removed it , did not act in bad faith. Also, i am not sure about the comments thing, I myself removed them once.(lots of negative comments exist too, example by TRUMPP) I agree that every article is unique, and shold be written as such. You can sort the issue , the user who removed the comments is Relata refero (talk. Basically nice guy. You can find discusion btw him and me in article talk page on an issue. Also i think we should form an effort to improve upon the article, it is an important article, very vital. Ajjay (talk) 14:38, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

I am currently sorting Sikh article, but don't worry i will try and improve the article as much as i can. i am currently free right now (due to a pending life problem), but my holiday is going to be over soon. After that i don't think that i would be able to contribute much. You know the major reason is that sikhs or punjabi people don't bother much about their history, (look at articles on other topics). But we will improve this article surely.Ajjay (talk) 15:13, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re: Hi friend

Here, you said: "there seems to be a lot of trouble makers asking for a cite". Asking for a citation for something is NOT "trouble making". You also said, "there are a lot of non-sikhs or militant Atheists on this site who don't believe in anything or a reason why the Universe exists and are pushing their Atheists views..." Please see WP:CIVIL and WP:NPA. The beliefs of a Wikipedian are irrelevant when editing an article and it not good form to make such accusations without proof. On a side note, to say that atheists "don't believe in anything" is incorrect. Please see Atheism. --Geniac (talk) 15:29, 1 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Extremely Urgent - IHRO

edit

Please give your vote at Wikipedia:RSN#ihro.in if you beleive that Human Rights Watchdog is a unbiased organization.

Please remember that huge number of crimes committed by Indian security forces in Punjab will go un-referenced on wikipedia if www.ihro.in is declared POV site. Reason this is among extremely few unbiased sources available online. Eventhough some of the north-Indian newspapers always published govt crimes in Punjab, but unfortunately they do not have this old data archived. For example, The Tribune (a 125 year old newspaper group), one of north-Indian newspapers does not have any online editions prior to year 2001 and Ajit, a regional newspaper of India etc did not have any online editions untill very recently. Also, India’s National magazine, Frontline does not have archive records prior to 1997.

Please read "Amnesty International", "Amnesty International, "Human Rights watch" where it says that "Thousands of mothers await their sons even though some may know that that the oppressor has not spared their sons’ lives on this earth. A mother’s heart is such that even if she sees her son’s dead body, she does not accept that her son has left her. And those mothers who have not even seen their children’s dead bodies, they were asking us: at least find out, is our son alive or not?" and "ENSAAF". As per HRW, Indian security forces arbitrarily detained, tortured, executed, and “disappeared” tens of thousands of Sikhs in counterinsurgency operations. Please remember, Amnesty International was not allowed to enter Punjab during these troubled times, hence Amnesty can not provide records of most of the crimes committed by Indian security forces as an India based Organization IHRO.

So please vote at Wikipedia:RSN#ihro.in ASAP .Singh6 (talk) 07:20, 30 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
