  Hello, Sheabuckner. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. 2601:188:180:B8E0:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 03:11, 27 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Acting Career

edit

I would like to add the more recent accomplishments I have, specifically in the acting industry.

There are articles to include such as:

https://www.wtvm.com/2019/06/13/exclusive-news-leader-sits-down-with-one-lead-actors-columbus-filmed-long-night/ https://deadline.com/2018/03/angel-laketa-moore-fox-comedy-pilot-rel-shea-buckner-abc-get-christie-love-1202316597/

As well as IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm6125709/

And this additional wiki page: https://forthepeople.fandom.com/wiki/Shea_Buckner

Is this possible?

I'd also like more recent photos.

The current wiki page focuses on my Olympic career, which peaked 8 years ago. How do I bring it more current?

Thanks! Sheabuckner (talk) 03:11, 28 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Shea Buckner

edit

As you can see from the sections above, it can take quite a while to become used to Wikipedia's procedures, although you found the correct request—good. Problem, that request has to go on the article talk page, which is Talk:Shea Buckner, not here. Please edit this page and copy your request to article talk, then delete the request from here.

One difficulty is that your user page (User:Sheabuckner) asserts that you are Shea Buckner. Lots of people visit Wikipedia and make claims. Mostly they are ignored as inconsequential but in the case of using the name of a well-known person, the user must prove that they are the person in question. That involves sending an email and waiting for a volunteer to respond with instructions, see WP:REALNAME. An alternative is to abandon this user name (log out and don't use it in the future) and make another user name where you do not claim to be that person.

I may not have time to investigate the edit request you made. If you have trouble in the future, you can create a new section at my talk page (see my signature at the end of this) and ask for assistance. A good place for help is WP:Teahouse. They can help regarding uploading a photo. That can be tricky because it is the photographer who is assumed to hold the copyright, so it has to be the photographer who does the upload and they have to assign a license that allows the image for any purpose (that is, they must relinquish any copyright claim).
