Edit conflict

edit

Thanks for the heads up- I considered nominating the article for deletion, but it looks pretty good now. A little short, but I doubt there is much more that can be said. J Milburn 02:23, 27 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Rockaways / Five Towns

edit

Shaul, As a long time resident of the Five Towns with family throughout the Rockaways and a spouse from Belle Harbor, it's nice to see someone taking the time to create, update and expand these articles. Please remember to put an "Edit Summary" explaining your edits and remember that you can make many edits at one time using preview mode to verify your changes, thereby avoiding multiple edits. I have always known the paper as "The Wave". While I know that article exists, the article could be named "The Wave (Rockaways)" or "The Wave (Queens)", rather than its current title, which implies that it is the full name of the paper. Let me know if I can help with anything. Alansohn 02:07, 28 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Redirect of Beetlebaum

edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Beetlebaum, by Schutz (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Beetlebaum is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Beetlebaum, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 21:24, 6 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

DEFAULTSORT

edit

Please use: DEFAULTSORT: instead of DEFAULTSORT| (colon, not pipe)

It's a magic word, not a template. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Flatterworld (talkcontribs) 17:15, 28 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Character redirects

edit

Hi. I notice you have been creating redirects from character names, and categorizing them as if they are full articles. For instance, Paladin (Western character) was in Category:Fictional Western (genre) characters. This is not correct. (There are a number of reasons why it is not correct: for one, people may become confused if they click on a link in Category:Fictional Western (genre) characters and find themselves reading about a TV series instead of a character. For a more complete discussion, see Wikipedia:Categorizing redirects.)

The correct thing to do is to label such redirects with the template {{R from character}}, which will automatically place them in the correct category, Category:Redirects from characters. —Paul A (talk) 02:45, 25 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Robert Morse and a computer sing "Anything You Can Do"

edit

In case you missed it, I added an episode reference for That's Life. May I ask how you dug that one up? There seems to be no DVD, and I'd like to watch that one. Regards, Paradoctor (talk) 06:40, 15 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Actually, the "Anything You Can Do" sequence was one I simply remembered from actually watching the program. Take care. Shaulceder (talk) 20:16, 15 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Mott Avenue

edit

The article Mott Avenue has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Train2104 (talk) 19:46, 1 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
