Welcome!

Hello, Seqqis, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or any other editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! You can also just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! SFK2 (talk) 05:22, 18 November 2012 (UTC)

Pickup truck lists

Please do not keep adding listings of available pickup trucks in world markets. The pickup truck article is a general overview of the vehicle category. It is not a complete historic or current "list of all pickup trucks" for purchase. WP guidelines differentiate between entries that consist of lists, and articles that consist primarily of prose. Moreover, this article already contains a link to "Category:Pickup trucks" that has a list of the vehicles of this type. Thank you! CZmarlin (talk) 17:09, 19 November 2012 (UTC)

November 2012

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Pickup truck. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. SMS Talk 17:13, 19 November 2012 (UTC)

Pickup Truck

While all of the material you added would be sourced in a perfect world, the most problematic claim you added was that vans were some how more fuel efficient than pickups. To add something like this you would need a very good reliable source that makes the the same statement and makes it clear that this is the reason for the van's prevalence in Europe. --Daniel(talk) 23:33, 13 December 2012 (UTC)

Kei trucks in Japan

I have started a discussion on kei trucks in Japan at talk:Pickup truck#Vans vs pickups. Please feel free to contribute.  Stepho  talk  02:53, 15 December 2012 (UTC)

Your recent editing history at History of video game consoles (eighth generation) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. You need to read the talk page for that article. We have decided not to include any of those consoles until we know for sure what generation they will be called, if any, by reliable sources. That's why adding them now is not appropriate. MASEM (t) 14:09, 16 December 2012 (UTC)

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. --MASEM (t) 14:50, 16 December 2012 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for your disruption caused by edit warring and violation of the three-revert rule at History of video game consoles (eighth generation). During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Speedy deletion nomination of Palcomix

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Palcomix requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Phileasson (talk) 15:00, 25 January 2013 (UTC)

Inappropriate external links

Hello, please don't add commercial or blog external links to Wikipedia, as you did at Pickup truck. They are strongly discouraged by the external links guidelines. Graham87 04:34, 28 February 2013 (UTC)

Pickuptrucks.com is a blog. BTW, please sign your messages with the normal Wikipedia signing feature using four tildes like this: "~~~~",. This automatically produces the correct timestamp. The timestamp that you added to my page was 6 hours behind UTC. Graham87 07:47, 28 February 2013 (UTC)

Regarding my edits in your userpage.

I have done some modifications & fine tuning. I added the correct link to the article you had created in the French Wikipedia and also made some other changes. I hope that you don't consider my changes vandalism.
Regards.

Manufacturer as defined by Template:Infobox automobile

I notice you have been changing the "Manufacturer" infobox to inclued Karmann for cars built by Karmann for automobile manufacturers. If you go to Template:Infobox automobile, you will see "manufacturer" defined for the purposes of the template as follows:

"Manufacturer: the entity responsible for the vehicle's development, although not necessarily the company that physically assembles the vehicle"

Based on the definition given in the template, the "manufacturer" of the BMW E9 was BMW, although Karmann would have done the final assembly.

Sincerely, SamBlob (talk) 19:09, 9 April 2013 (UTC)

As User:SamBlob explained to you, the assembly plant is not the manufacturer, even if the final assembly is contracted to an outside party. Bavarian Auto Group and Magna Steyr are not the manufacturer, you can add them only to the Assembly field. Please take a look at WP:CAR's Conventions page to see how it's properly done. --Pc13 (talk) 14:17, 11 April 2013 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of List of trucks

The article List of trucks has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Wikipedia is not the place for lists or repositories of loosely associated topics. Please see WP:NOTDIR.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Drives on the left (US)

Thanks from an old-timer/geezer, wrong-side-of-the-digital-divide guy, depending on your agism scale, for the assist at 'United States', adding the USVI drive on left. I get wrapped around the axel occasionally by the tag team there --- "islanders are not a part of the US, cannot be, will not be in the WP article for United States". I got my ears boxed recently, blocked a day for all of wikipedia because I tried to maintain an inclusive territories sensibility from a 'Dispute Resolution' the result of October 2012 - April 2013 discussion. An administrator reverted DR wording seven times, his confederates another two, but I was nailed for three reverts = edit war, trying to keep the islanders in the US at Wikipedia. yuk. Another confederate simply reverted the language, again without a source. Back to square one, the tag team overwhelming sourced contributions to include islanders in any capacity, now including driving side of the road ?!?! We shall see.

I continue to research and refine my presentation for a RfC. Not ready yet. The idea is that if islanders are fully US citizens and represented equally in Congress as territories have been for 220 years (well, finally ! since 1985, islanders, too !!), their children are no longer, --- as the eugenics theory of 1900 had it, proclaimed by the same Supreme Court giving us Plessy, --- their children are no longer a danger to the US, in the words of the Downes case, "civilized or savage", --- because Congress made their children US citizens -- and territorial representation in Congress (though territories will not have all the rights of states until they are admitted as states, duh). Template:Automotive industry in Thailand

Hi Seqqis, Thanks for all the help in creating the navboxes. Proposed deletion of List of sedans

The article List of sedans has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Huggle 3

Hey Seqqis! I am Petrb, one of core developers of Huggle, the antivandalism tool, which you are beta testing (according to https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Huggle/Members#Beta_testers). I am happy to announce that Huggle 3 is ready for some testing. You can read more about it at WP:Huggle/Huggle3_Beta. Please keep in mind that this is a development version and it is not ready for regular use. That means you must:

  • Watch your contribs - when anything happens you didn't want, fix it and report a bug
  • Frequently checkout source code and build latest version, we change it a lot

If you find any problem with a feature that is supposed to work perfectly, please let us know. Some features are not ready yet, it is listed in known problems on Huggle3 beta page, you don't need to report these - we know it! So, that's it. Have fun testing and please let us know about any problems, either using bugzilla @ http://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/ or #huggle connect.

Please respond to my talk page, I am not going to watch your talk page. Thank you Petrb (talk) 10:58, 14 November 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for November 19

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Automotive industry, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page GMC (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
