A summary of some important site policies and guidelines
edit- Vandalism is defined as a deliberate attempt to mess up the site. It does not include real accidents (although competence is required), nor does it include someone trying to improve the encyclopedia in a way you disagree with.
- Assume other editors are here to help as much as is possible.
- Noone owns any article here, or even their edits to articles. At the top of the edit page, it says "Work submitted to Wikipedia can be edited, used, and redistributed—by anyone," which means that if you don't want someone to change or even remove what you add, then you need to use another site.
- "Truth" is not the only criteria for inclusion, verifiability is also required.
- If your edits are undone (reverted), go to the article's talk page to discuss them.
The subtle difference between vandalism, disruption and helpful edits
editHi Scrubglory1,
the above message already contains this explanation, but it may have to be pointed out more specifically:
Vandalism is malicious editing. Vandalism is intentional disruption.
The edits by 2604:2000:8FC0:4:68BA:3B32:8613:8B6D (talk · contribs · WHOIS) are not vandalism.
If you strongly disagree, you're welcome to open a discussion at WP:ANI, where others will likely confirm this explanation.
Best regards,
