Helpme

{{helpme}} I am not sure waht I am supposed to change in my entry Scottishwiki (talk) 13:07, 24 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Don't worry, the deletion of the article you created has been declined. You don't have to do anything now, just let the community deal with it (ie, expand, improve, etc.) --Closedmouth (talk) 13:10, 24 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

{{helpme}} thanks - i would also like to put up the company logo - how do i do that?Scottishwiki (talk) 13:13, 24 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

In order to upload an image, your account has to be at least 4 days old with at least 10 edits. Once that threshold is reached, you can upload a company logo, but be sure to read WP:UPI. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 13:26, 24 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:Sep large.jpg

edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Sep large.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:16, 2 March 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 16:16, 2 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (File:Metaforic.png)

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Metaforic.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:23, 16 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Metaforic

edit

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Metaforic, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.crunchbase.com/company/metaforic.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) MadmanBot (talk) 14:44, 28 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Metaforic

edit

There was a deletion discussion here and the outcome was that the article's tone was promotional. Wikipedia is neutral, and it certainly was not. It clearly fell under the category of advertising masquerading as an article with things like:

  • "...is a leading provider of..."
  • "Metaforic solutions directly prevent..."
  • "Our technology is proven in millions of deployed instances..."

Also, the company doesn't meet the standard for inclusion, that is the notability guideline. So even if a neutral article is written, it will be deleted again. The only way to change this is for more articles to be published about the company in sources independent of the company and its marketing. James086Talk 21:10, 8 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of File:Metaforic.png

edit

The file File:Metaforic.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused logo with no article used, it's also can't move to commons because of an unused logo will be deleted as of out of project scope.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
