Of open boats and copy-edits
Good to see you around, Scartol! I greatly appreciate your feedback on "The Open Boat", especially in regards to your expert copy-editing. There's a reason I'm a librarian and not an English teacher, despite two degrees that perhaps hint otherwise. :) Don't worry, I don't intend to swamp you with requests for other jobs, but since I'm here...! I know you've worked with Christine in the past, so maybe you'd like to take a look at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Singin' and Swingin' and Gettin' Merry Like Christmas/archive1? I did a short review the other day, and the prose needs some love. I don't want to step on her toes by asking someone else to take a look at her nomination, but how often are there two simultaneous, awesomely literary-related FACs among the mushrooms and birds and random highways? Three if you count Olivia Manning, which is already excellent. Anyway, if you're looking for work, that may be a good bet. Take care, and thanks again! María (habla conmigo) 17:08, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
- Ha, no worries. I'm glad you've a new article; and so unique, as well! I'll give it a review within the next few days. :) María (habla conmigo) 18:43, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
- No toes stepped on here! I got leetle feet! ;) Seriously, Scar, you know how I feel about you. I was gonna ask for your help anyway, since I respect your work so much, and because you've been so helpful in MA articles in the past. Thanks; I'll go work on the FAC now. --Christine (talk) 22:19, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

Could you possibly take a look at Gough Whitlam? It won't go onto FAC for probably two or three weeks. Many thanks.--Wehwalt (talk) 22:23, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
Asturias article
Hi Scartol
Just wanted to say thank you for your advice on the asturias article. my group and i are working on it more now as it is due for an assignment on monday. i know, a lot of work must be done. thank you for your suggestions. any other criticism is welcome! --Trowan (talk) 06:06, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
Hi Scartol. If you have the time I'd really appreciate it if you took a look at Manchester United F.C.. It has recently been improved quite a lot, the aim is to take it to FAC soon, but I'm sure it can be improved. If all you can manage is a brief look and some comments on the Peer Review page, that would be much appreciated. Thanks. Tomlock01 (talk) 15:38, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
- Sure, no problem. Will certainly leave it open until you've had a look. Thanks in advance for you help. Tomlock01 (talk) 18:24, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
