Citation templates

edit

@Saramartin: Welcome to Wikipedia. I see that you are a new user and that you have been adding references to various articles, especially in "Further reading" sections. I would encourage you to use citation templates when adding references, instead of plain text. Citation templates have many advantages over plain text; for example, they embed COinS metadata in the article and they add cited journals to the automated database of journals cited by Wikipedia. An easy way to insert citation templates is to use theCitoid tool in VisualEditor. There are also other citation tools that insert citation templates. If you have not already read them, please read: Wikipedia:References dos and don'ts, Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners, and Wikipedia:Citation templates. Undue weight and citation spam

edit

@Saramartin: Multiple editors have reverted your recent edits because, among various reasons, creating a new "Further reading" section with one publication gives undue weight to that publication, and adding the same publication to multiple articles looks like citation spamming. We assume good faith of other editors on Wikipedia, but please read WP:UNDUE and WP:REFSPAM to be advised about why your edits are being reverted by other editors.
