February 2020 edit

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Vif12vf/Tiberius (talk) 16:56, 14 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did on Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. This violates Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Vif12vf/Tiberius (talk) 17:45, 14 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. Vif12vf/Tiberius (talk) 20:05, 14 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

May I ask who is threatening to remove my editing Wikipedia privileges for my very accurate criticism of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, citing my intense efforts that have verified my criticism? Usually material without references just gets a notice of "reference needed," so am I right to assume that the DSCC is trying to suppress criticism of its hidden decision making processes? I may be contacted by the DSCC or by Vif12vf at either sam.mcfarland@wku.edu or 270-525-1985. Or do you also prefer to remain hidden?

Info that gets "citation needed"-tags is usually content some editor finds in an article that has remained there for a while without sources, we prefeer that people add reliable sources when they add new content to any article, particularily when the content is political in nature! And no, i have no ties with the DSCC or any other americal political party or institution. Furthermore, your additions seem to espouse your own point of view, which is something we dont want in any article as we prefeer articles to be as neutral in language as possible! So who is "we" in your reply? Are you a Norwegian student? If so, what is your interest in monitoring the DSCC website and threatening to try to remove my editing privileges. I stand by my criticism. DSCC keeps its decision processes hidden, and despite my REPEATED, REPEATED request for discussion and clarification. DSCC will not respond to my concerns. Would it help if I get 20 others to inquire and then post our common outcome in this regard?? Would that be sufficient? Do you truly doubt the accuracy of my criticism?

No. You and people you know can not use yourself as sources, sources must be third-party to comply with wikipedia standards. I suggest you familiarise yourself with wikipedia guidelines before editing further. Vif12vf/Tiberius (talk) 23:57, 14 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

My name is Sam McFarland, Professor Emeritus, Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green,KY 42101. What is your name and affiliation, or do you refuse to identify yourself? Do you work for Wikipedia? If so, you should say so. If not, what gives you the right to police what I or others post?

Regarding this specific issue, I have sent these two questions to DSCC that they will not respond to:

1. How does the DSCC decide which Democratic candidates to endorse in Democratic primaries? I seem to be unable to get a response to this question, but it should be open information. For example, the DSCC has endorsed Amy McGrath over her primary opponents in Kentucky. Why? And who made the decision and how was it made? What input was received and considered?

2. Does this endorsement mean that DSCC will funnel contributions to McGrath’s campaign in the Democratic primary, or will contributions to the DSCC be used only when the selected Democratic candidate runs against McConnell? That is an important question, and DSCC contributors should be able to know.
