Introduction to calculus draft edit
I noticed your draft, and I had a comment. Because it's a tutorial, it seems more suited for Wikibooks than for Wikipedia. See WP:NOTTEXTBOOK. - If you look around, you'll find some other "Introduction to..." articles, like introduction to general relativity, introduction to quantum mechanics, introduction to viruses, introduction to evolution, and introduction to the metric system. What all of them share is that the subject is technical but contains non-technical ideas that can be understood by laymen. So, for example, understanding the mathematics of general relativity requires understanding 4-dimensional Lorentz manifolds; but a layman can grasp that observers in general relativity perceive three spatial dimensions and one time dimension. Similarly, a layman can understand that entropy is a measure of disorder without understanding statistical mechanics.
- I believe the same is true of calculus, and I believe there is scope for an article titled introduction to calculus. However, I don't believe that's the article you're writing. From what I can see, your article isn't a non-technical introduction for laymen; it's a less technical introduction for students. That's outside the scope of Wikipedia. Even though it's well written, it will never be an acceptable article. You can keep working on your draft if you wish, but I'm hoping to save you some disappointment.
