Corte d'Assise

The article Corte d'Assise is asking for an expert to review it for accuracy. If you feel so inclined, would you please do so? --Red King (talk) 23:05, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thank you

edit

Salvio, thank you very much for the award. Yesterday I was in very low spirits regarding this article and Wikipedia in general (because of this article). I appreciate the fact that you have always been very supportive of my attempts to cut through some of the misinformation and that you have been always diligent in bringing the Italian language sources to our attention. However, it has sometimes felt very lonely on that talk page! In the last day, several people have come out on the side of neutrality (and maybe they were there all the time but just keeping quiet) so suddenly things look a lot more optimistic. The barnstar is the final thing that has really "made my day". Thanks again! Bluewave (talk) 16:08, 25 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for uploading File:Judiciary of Italy.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Fred the Oyster (talk) 17:42, 4 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Rudy Guede appeal

edit

Hi Salvio. When Guede's appeal concluded, last December, he is quoted (at least in The Guardian) as saying that he would be mounting a second appeal. I've been trying trying to work out whether this was just bravado, or whether he can and will actually do so. I read through Italian Criminal Procedure and it sounds as though he could appeal to the Court of Cassation. The article about that court seems to say that people can only appeal on points of law if, for example, a lower court has not followed the the legal process correctly. It has struck me throughout this case that, with the world's media watching them, the courts seem to have gone out of their way to do everything "by the book" (despite what some US senators may claim!) So, I came to the conclusion that Guede has very little hope of grounds for a second appeal. I would appreciate your comments on whether I have understood this correctly. Many thanks. A little thank you

Thanks for somehow backing up my allegations against Z. at ANI. Since she picked me as the leader of a non-existing conspiracy group, you know that you're part of it in her mind (like everybody else who doesn't share her views or better said, feelings about the case). Let me leave you something for dessert (it looks strange but it is Tiramisu and quite tasty ;) ). Best, The Magnificent Clean-keeper (talk) 21:39, 20 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, TMC-k! By the way, you chose one of my favourite desserts (the other one is profiterole...)! ;) Salvio giuliano (talk) 21:33, 21 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

That's true, I added a non-neutral point of view. Why, though, did you not delete the previous sentence, which was precisely as non-neutral? Are you neutral? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.232.191.16 (talk) 14:09, 1 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Because it is a quote and it is sourced; if you wish to criticize Google's hypocrisy, please find a reliable source; do not put your opinions in the text, please. Salvio ( Let's talk 'bout it!) 14:12, 1 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Closing a discussion (don't know)

edit

I'm afraid I can't help with suggestions of how to close the discussion on the NPOV board. Looking at the archive, it seems as though a few threads get marked with a {{Resolved}} tag, but most just languish on the page until they are eventually auto-archived. I think you're right that the NPOV page has actually made it more difficult to resolve issues rather than easier. I have edited hundreds (maybe a slight exaggeration) of articles and this is the first one where I've seen the use of the NPOV noticeboard (no help), Wikiquette noticeboard (no help either) or AN/I (even less help). I wonder if Z's appeal for mediation will provide the magical solution to our problems (not holding my breath). Cheers. Bluewave (talk) 14:21, 2 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

I'm not holding my breath either. And I'm flabbergasted by the excess of bureaucracy we've gone through to no avail. Let's hope mediation will help move things along. Salvio ( Let's talk 'bout it!) 15:16, 2 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your warnings

edit

Hi Salvio, when giving out warnings like this one please don't replace a user's talk page with the warning. Simply make a new (typically Month Year) section and place the warning. There is no reason to remove a user's welcome simply because some test edits have been made or they haven't been falling entirely in-line with policy. Thanks for monitoring changes, Shirik (Questions or Comments?) 00:19, 3 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

I don't know how I erased it: it wasn't my intention... Salvio ( Let's talk 'bout it!) 00:21, 3 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
(edit conflict) Correction: I see what happened now. Anyway, you would benefit from using an edit summary so we all know what's going on. You keep showing up in some of my bot reports because of the automatic edit summary "replaced content with". Anyway, thanks and keep up the good work! --Shirik (Questions or Comments?) 00:22, 3 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
Aside for that time — where I had chosen the wrong template —, I don't know how I can add an edit summary: Lupin rollbacks, without giving me time to add it... Salvio ( Let's talk 'bout it!) 00:26, 3 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
No worries about rollbacks as those edit summaries are always automatically generated. But when you do something manually, try to add in an edit summary just to describe what you're doing. Aside from helping others, it has, on occasion, even reminded myself of what I was trying to do! Thanks again, Shirik (Questions or Comments?) 00:29, 3 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
