March 2019 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Saini, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 20:40, 26 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Rajan Saini edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rajan Saini, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. 94rain Talk 07:56, 27 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Your contributed article, Shoor saini edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Shoor saini. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Saini. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Saini. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. JamesG5 (talk) 09:09, 27 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

27-MAR-2019 edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from one or more pages into Saini. While you are welcome to re-use the content of Wikipedia, here or elsewhere, our licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please either provide attribution in this case, or identify the source article so that someone else can do it. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Please be aware that editors who repeatedly copy content without attribution risk being blocked from editing. The website where text was taken from may be seen here and the iThenticate report may be viewed here.  Spintendo  12:37, 27 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

March 2019 edit

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did on Saini. This violates Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 22:39, 27 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Repeated copyright violations at Saini edit

You have been blocked from editing for a period of indefinite for violating copyright policy by copying text or images into Wikipedia from another source without evidence of permission. Please take this opportunity to ensure that you understand our copyright policy and our policies regarding how to use non-free content. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

See the above message from User:Spintendo dated 27 March for details of the copyright problem. A number of admins have already performed revision-deletions to take out the copyrighted content you previously added from the article history. You can be unblocked if you can convince administrators that you understand Wikipedia's copyright policy and will follow it in the future. EdJohnston (talk) 19:32, 6 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Saini edit

Your recent edit summery left the impression that it is ok to use material you find elsewhere if you provide references. While references are required, they are not enough. The edit has to be in your own words or properly licensed.S Philbrick(Talk) 21:12, 6 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Your reason here ok sir, i understand the polycy of wiki, and from now i will take care of it. please unblock me

Decline reason:

It is common for editors to say they understand a policy while not actually understanding, so we will need you to actually demonstrate your understanding. Please make a new request and summarize Wikipedia's copyright policy in your own words. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 09:10, 11 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • I'll just add that the problem is not restricted to that described in the "27-MAR-2019" section above (copying within Wikipedia). The far more serious problem is that you were repeatedly copying material from external sources, despite having been reverted several times. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 09:14, 11 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • Oh, and one more thing. You appear to be taking material from sites like http://sainiworld.com, which appears to be a caste-affiliated site, as sources. We do not accept caste-affiliated sites as reliable sources (see WP:RS) as they inevitably present things from the caste's perspective rather than from a neutral perspective, and usually exist to further the interests of the caste. For example, they often present a caste's origins and history in a very idealized or mythological manner which can not be supported by independent evidence, and so can not be relied on to be factually and historically accurate. We need neutral, independent sources, ones that do not have a favoured view of a caste. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 09:24, 11 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
