Your username

edit

As far as I can see, your username identifies a company. As such it is strictly forbidden in Wikipedia (please see Wikipedia:Username policy, esp. the section on Promotional names for more info) and using such account can cause you to be blocked from contributing (see Wikipedia:Blocking policy).

If you want to constructively contribute to Wikipedia, please first consider changing your name to some non-promotional one (Wikipedia:Username policy#Changing your username section may be of help here).
Then, if you want to contribute on behalf of the company, you must carefully follow our guidelines on Wikipedia:Conflict of interest or you risk a block.
Third, if you own the company or work for it, you're required to disclose your paid-editor status according to Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure policy.

ok, I will delete this account tomorrow and then open a new account. Wikipedia says that is the fastest way to deal with this issue. I did think I should have chosen another name...

Thanks!

You can't delete an account as it needs to remain for attribution of contributions. You can either request a change of username or simply stop using this account and start a new one. --David Biddulph (talk) 10:34, 24 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Ok, sent a name request about 30 mins ok. See if it works.

I see that it has indeed worked. --David Biddulph (talk) 13:23, 24 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
