Albanian? edit

Hi - I'm guessing Wikipedia talk:Searching#alban skenderaj is written in Albanian and that it's meant to be an article about a pop singer (in which case it's completely misplaced). Any chance you could confirm this? Thanks. -- Rick Block (talk) 17:25, 2 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hello! A while ago you signed up to help translate articles from other Wikipedias at Wikipedia:Translators available.

No content in Category:Little Einsteins episodes edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Little Einsteins episodes, by HokieRNB, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Little Einsteins episodes has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Little Einsteins episodes, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Category:Little Einsteins episodes itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 19:59, 25 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Albanian proofreader/translator categories edit

I've gone ahead and corrected the boxes on your userpage to show the correct ISO 639 code for the Albanian language. The relevant categories are now at Category:Translators sq-en and Category:Proofreaders sq-en. --- RockMFR 17:23, 10 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re: Image of Anthony Miner edit

Hi! While it may seem sensible that images with permission to be used on Wikipedia are allowed, our mission is to provide gratis content, and as such all images with such permission are deleted on sight. Could you please try to get Anthony to release the image under a free license such as the GFDL or CC-BY-SA? Thanks! east.718 at 23:58, January 20, 2008

Just have him send an email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org specifying the license of his choice, then upload it make a note on the image page that permission has been sent to OTRS. east.718 at 00:07, January 21, 2008

AfD nomination of Anthony Miner edit

An editor has nominated Anthony Miner, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Anthony Miner and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 02:30, 21 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

With respect to your question in the AfD, how to go about nominating an article for restoration: If and once things change with respect to sources, you can create a new draft in your user space or ask me or any other administrator to restore the article there. If that is accepted, you can work on it and it can then either be moved back to mainspace or discussed further at deletion review. If you directly create the article in wikispace, it is possible that the article gets speedily deleted, so you should do so only in case of very substantial coverage or new documented awards. --Tikiwont (talk) 11:12, 28 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the information. - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:40, 28 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Our Big Huge Adventure.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading Image:Our Big Huge Adventure.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 14:08, 8 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Translation needed edit

Hi,

I noticed your username on the list of available translators for Albanian language.

Will you please be so kind to translate the following sentence to English:

Best regards,

--Antidiskriminator (talk) 06:53, 6 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • "One interpretation that was revived even in the '80s of the 20th Century, and therefore on the verge of the Kosovo crisis, when Serbian propagandists cheered Skanderbeg as 'the son of Ivan, Gjorgj Kastrioti, Serbian cavalry of Arbëria'". Hope that works for you! - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:33, 7 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
Thank you.--Antidiskriminator (talk) 05:52, 7 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Sorry for bothering you again, but I need one more sentence to be translated:

Thanks in advance.--Antidiskriminator (talk) 09:05, 17 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • The first one: "When 'Skanderbeg' is not the history of Skanderbeg: a few words about the book "Skanderbeg" by Oliver Jens Schmitt"
  • The second one: "In Montenegro, which had its own clan structures similar to those in northern Albania, so it produces a mental affinity, Skanderbeg was celebrated as the ideal of heroic manhood, as a Slavic warrior and the epitome of a political extension of Montenegro in northern Arbëria."
  • I hope that helps! - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:05, 19 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
Thank you very much.--Antidiskriminator (talk) 10:24, 20 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
Any time! :) - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 04:30, 21 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Translation needed (2) edit

Hi! I noticed you are listed at Wikipedia:Translators available. Could you please take a look at a post at Talk:Battle of Vukovar#Next steps: a call for assistance and advise whether you might be able to help in terms of an Albanian summary? In a nutshell, a group of editors would like to get the Battle of Vukovar featured on the main page on the battle anniversary on 18 November and our chances would be improved if there were more articles about it in other language Wikipedias. It does not need to be long, a translation of the lead section or its summary would be sufficient. Thank you! Timbouctou (talk) 00:23, 29 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • I'm not the best at putting things into Albanian, I'm much better at translating Albanian into English. But I also realize that my language skills, though not called upon very frequently, are not found in great demand. Here's a translation of the lead section. - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:55, 31 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
It's not perfect, but there you go. :) - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:42, 31 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
Thanks so much! I've created the article Beteja e Vukovarit on the Albanian Wikipedia using your translation. If you have time you could wikify it a bit and maybe put it in some appropriate category. Thanks for your help! Timbouctou (talk) 12:19, 31 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
Done. - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:39, 1 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Request for translation edit

Hi Ryangibsonstewart, I'm expanding the article on the Corfu Channel Case. I was wondering if you could translate this book title for me? "Incidenti i kanalit të Korfuzit : drejtësi e anuar" Google Translate suggests the first part is just "Corfu Channel Incident" but the part after the colon gets mangled. —/Mendaliv//Δ's/ 03:06, 4 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Our Huge Adventure edit

The article Our Huge Adventure has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Appears to fail WP:NFILM, only 1 critic review found (listed at Rotten Tomatoes), everything else appears to be a blog or a database site. Tagged for notability

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
