Hello, I saw you adding several references to infoboxes. Just an FYI that these are not generally considered necessary per WP:INFOBOXREF if the infobox is obvious (this would probably apply to the date) or cited elsewhere (turnout would be referenced in the results table). Cheers, Number 57 19:13, 16 July 2021 (UTC)
- Another tip – changes in percentages are presented as pp (percentage points) not % – you just changed the turnout change in the 1890 election from 5.91pp to 5.91%, which is incorrect. The swing figures in that infobox should also use pp not %. Cheers, Number 57 14:38, 17 July 2021 (UTC)
- So, if I'm not mistaken, it seems that in election infoboxes, the "%" symbol is generally used for the percentages/proportions of votes, while the "pp" (percentage points) sign is used for swing/changes in percentages. I often see many election infoboxes using the % signs for all percentages, including swing/changes in percentage points, so I don't really know which one to use. :)RyanW1995 (talk) 14:52, 17 July 2021 (UTC)
Linking to Articles on Other Wikis edit
Hello Ryan. Re edits like this, the preferred way to do it is like this. Doing it the latter way means:
- Readers can see they are being redirected to another language rather than surprisingly end up there
- Readers can see the English wiki is missing the article and may be encouraged to start the article on en.wiki
- A bot regularly checks these links and makes them direct links when an article is created on en.wiki (doing it the original way would retain the id.wiki link even if en.wiki had an article).

Whitespace in infoboxes edit
Hello. With regards to this edit, the reason I added a non-breaking space was to prevent Subianto's name splitting over two rows, as this creates whitespace in the rows where the other candidates names are listed. I am not sure why this would be preferable to having all the names fit on a single row? Cheers, Number 57 22:21, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Number 57: Understandable. How about this one? Though using non-breaking space like this makes the spacing between the candidates look quite uneven. RyanW1995 (talk) 09:53, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks – I think it looks better, but I don't think you needed one in the names of the other two candidates? On my screen at least, neither broke over two rows without the nbsp. Cheers, Number 57 15:31, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
Edits on bios of UAE politicians edit
Hi Ryan, I hope you're well. I wanted to ask you to avoid making edits like these [1] [2]. Royals in the UAE often hold federal political offices, which are not related to their royal status in their emirates; so royal titles like "ruler of Abu Dhabi" fall under the standard royal infobox entry, but political offices like "president of the UAE" use the office holder infobox module within the main royalty infobox. This is also seen in other pages of royalty that hold political offices, see Napoleon III. Vyvagaba (talk) 19:35, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
