Speedy deletion nomination of User:Russianmathtutors/sandbox

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Russianmathtutors/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. microbiologyMarcus [petri dish·growths] 13:35, 29 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because your account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  • Provide a new username.

To do this, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Alexf(talk) 13:38, 29 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Requested username:

Request reason:

This was my first time editing Wikipedia, and I didn't know that advertising is not allowed. Also, I used my competitor's page as a template: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_School_of_Mathematics and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Rusczyk. Both of them seem to be advertising too, and they don't even have the conflict of interest disclosure like I did. Also, this is my own company and I am not being paid for it. I did pay someone, but they took my money and didn't do anything. Your volunteer response team agent Carlos Abayi, advised that I write it myself and just disclose conflict of interest, and that's exactly what I did. Please advise what I should do now. My competitors are 100 times bigger than I am, and they seem get away with just about anything.

Decline reason:

This is an incredibly serious allegation you are making about your competitors. Please provide your specific evidence that these pages were created in violation of WP:COI by agents of the companies themselves, rather than independent third parties. If you don't have specific evidence, I very strongly suggest you withdraw your exceptional allegation of unethical behaviour. Either way, you won't be unblocked to promote your company. If this is your only goal here, this is the end of the line. If instead, you wish to write about subject areas for which you have no conflict of interest, as with virtually all editors here, please tell us what you plan to write about instead. Yamla (talk) 19:49, 29 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
I am not saying that there is a conflict of interest in their articles. I just said that I was honest about MY conflict of interest, but you deleted my article because of "advertising". My allegations was that the competitors like Russian School of Math article is obviously advertising. See here:
The focus of RSM is primary school mathematics. The high school level classes offer preparation for standardized tests such as the SAT, SAT II, and AP exams. Each class usually involves intensive reinforcement of topics using many examples and exercises. Accompanied by classwork, all students are given homework to reinforce what they have learned.
How is this any different from what I wrote? In fact, I would argue that my article has more of a "encyclopedia" nature, because, theirs just claims that they have many "examples and exercises", without any proof, but I actually offer these exercises for free to any person who wants them and anybody can just download them from the website. Also, I actually describe technical aspects of my platform, which they don't.
I don't think it was very fare of you to delete my draft and block my user. You could have just told me what I did wrong. Russianmathtutors (talk) 23:09, 29 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Russianmathtutors Please reread the entire decline reason. You are not being unblocked to write about your company. AlphaBetaGamma (Talk/Report any mistakes here) 00:39, 1 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
I see. So, if I can't write about it, can someone else write the text above ^? Russianmathtutors (talk) 00:47, 1 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Russianmathtutors Someone will, when they decide your company is notable to be included. For now such text being added would likely be G11/G5'd and result in a swift block. AlphaBetaGamma (Talk/Report any mistakes here) 01:36, 1 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
And this one is not?
