Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Roja Dove Ltd. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Roja Dove, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. SemiHypercube (talk) 14:57, 24 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Orange Mike | Talk 15:21, 24 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Requested username:

Request reason:

I want my Wikipedia page to contain correct information. I am fed up of people changing my birth date. Only I can verify what happened, and is happening, in my life

Decline reason:

Per below, this is a shared account, and thus cannot be unblocked. Yunshui  07:47, 25 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
(talk page watcher) You have a blatant conflict of interest you shouldn't be editing the page at all. You should be making edit requests on the talk page. - FlightTime (open channel) 15:39, 24 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Well I guess you know Roja Dove better than Roja Dove.... that makes sense.

  Editor note: If the new requested username is accepted, they will need to provide verification via OTRS. - FlightTime (open channel) 15:49, 24 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

This is Roja Dove and my Director of Communications Jack Cassidy.

Well, no shared accounts, please. One per person. Provide a reliable source for the DOB, please. We need a reliable source for the DOB. If the only reason for you being here is to edit a page about you, I see no point in unblocking as you can suggest edits from your user talk page. Confirm who you claim to be by WP:OTRS, please. We don't want anyone impersonating you and then making changes to the article about you that would only anger the real you if this is not the real you. Thanks for your understanding.-- Dlohcierekim (talk) 16:00, 24 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thank you Dlohcierekim, completely understand. I will supply a DOB source.

Hello. This might be a silly question (and sorry if it is) but could I scan of my passport to prove that I was born in 1956? Or will you require a link to an article?

Kind regards,

R
