Hello, this is an account that I have set up to create and suggest changes to articles related to VelociHOST Inc. I'm aware that there are guidelines about editing pages if there is a potential conflict of interest, so I would like to disclose here that these contributions are made on behalf of VelociHOST Inc and that I have a direct association as the founder and managing director of such organization. I intend to follow all of Wikipedia's guidelines, including those on WP:COI, WP:RS, WP:V and WP:NPOV, very closely. My aim is to work with and seek advice from impartial editors to create and make positive contributions to VelociHOST article, hopefully leading to a much-improved article. On any pages where I look for assistance, I will be sure to disclose my relationship to VelociHOST in the interests of transparency. If you would like to help me, please let me know. Thanks, Rogriverac (talk) 17:03, 26 August 2020 (EDT)

Welcome!

edit

Hello, Rogriverac, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Speedy deletion nomination of User:Rogriverac/sandbox/velocihost

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Rogriverac/sandbox/velocihost, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Help editing article

edit

We need help in rewriting the article for our company. Make it available as a reference like many other in the industry (Digital Ocean, Hostinger, Linode). Our article keeps getting deleted and we would like to ask for help on rewriting while abiding by all Wikipedia guidelines. This is our first time writing an article to be considered for inclusion at Wikipedia and hence the need for help is genuine. Thank you. Roger

First, you need to review the paid editing policy and make the required declaration(a Terms of Use requirement). You should also review conflict of interest. Successfully writing a new Wikipedia article is the absolute hardest task to perform on Wikipedia; it's even harder when one has a conflict of interest. Wikipedia is not a place for companies to tell the world about themselves. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, where articles about companies must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about a company, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable company. Wikipedia is not interested in what a company wants to say about itself, including through press releases, staff interviews, the company website, announcements of routine business transactions, and other primary sources. Because of this, not every company merits a Wikipedia article, even within the same field. To be successful in writing about your own company, you need to forget everything you know about your company, everything on its website, everything in press releases, and so on, and only write based on the content of independent sources. Most people in your position cannot do this adequately, though it is technically possible. Please read Your First Article for more information. Before you attempt to edit again, you must make the paid editing declaration. Thanks 331dot (talk) 00:07, 27 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
I will add that to suggest edits to existing articles, you may make a formal edit request on the relevant article talk page. To create a new article, you may create and submit a draft using Articles for Creation. 331dot (talk) 00:51, 27 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
Hi Rogriverac, just adding to what 331dot said, because I don't want you to get your hopes up or waste your time. Paid editors such as yourself are strongly discouraged from writing articles, or editing existing articles, about their COI subject. See: WP:NOPAY. But more importantly, according to my research, your company doesn't currently meet our criteria for inclusion in Wikipedia, see WP:COMPANY. As a result, we would not be interested in publishing an article about it at this time, sorry. When several well-known news outlets (e.g. Forbes, Wired, etc.) have written detailed articles about the company, you can let us know. In the meantime I'd suggest that you concentrate your marketing efforts elsewhere, and work on getting the necessary press coverage. Thanks for your understanding. --IamNotU (talk) 04:12, 29 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm IamNotU. An edit that you recently made to Managua seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. In this edit: [1] you added an archive link and marked the original link as dead, but it's the same link as the original link, which is not dead. You also added an incorrect url parameter in this edit to Granada, Nicaragua: [2], and removed a reference without explanation here: [3]. I've reverted the edits, please try to check them more carefully in the future, and if you need help, try the Teahouse. Thank you. IamNotU (talk) 04:39, 29 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
