Speedy deletion nomination of Buzz (Fifteen album)

edit

A tag has been placed on Buzz (Fifteen album) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Speedy deletion nomination of Al Baker And The Dole Queue

edit

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Al Baker And The Dole Queue requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.  -- WikHead (talk) 23:04, 10 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Re: Al Baker And The Dole Queue

Hi RockstarRaccoon, thanks for your message. Yes, it was indeed me who tagged your article for deletion, but eight or nine days have passed, and I no longer remember the actual article or details involved. The logs and edit history however, show that an administrator agreed with the rationale of my tag, and speedy-deleted the article per CSD A7. This means that your article somehow failed to assert its importance, or give a clear explanation for why it should be included on Wikipedia. Did it consist of more than a sentence or two defining its title? My guess is that it either made no claims to support any of the criteria for inclusion listed at WP:MUSIC, or perhaps made such claims but failed to back them up with reliable references. If your references included nothing more than the band's official website, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc... or interviews with the band talking about themselves, they'd most likely be deemed invalid, and quickly dismissed by the deletion clerk. If you seriously feel that you'd be able to satisfy the minimum inclusion requirements outlined by WP:MUSIC, feel free to contact (User:Nyttend) the admin who performed the deletion, and request the article to be un-deleted into your user-space for incubation and further development to bring it up to snuff. Good luck!  -- WikHead (talk) 06:27, 18 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Surprise! (album)

edit

The article Surprise! (album) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
