The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

I corrected the formatting on your AfD for you. I also added it to the deletion log. If you need any assistance with anything else, please don't hesitate to ask. IrishGuy talk 05:44, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

  • Too late! Looks like it already got speedied anyway... thanks for the help though! Rockstar915 05:48, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

On the removal of {{prod}} tags

Hi, The removal of {{prod}} tags from articles, even by their creators, is not vandalism (see Wikipedia:Proposed deletion#Conflicts). If you still belive the article deserves deletion, you may list it at AfD. -- Black Falcon 00:42, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

  • Sorry, I was just a bit confused... another editor told me earlier that only the person who added the {{prod}} tags could remove them. But thanks for clearing up the confusion! Rockstar915 05:48, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Socks blocked. Deiz talk 02:30, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

I've protected Cassie Whatshername and blocked a few more socks.. give me a shout if you need more admin help here. Deiz talk 05:39, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
You're probably right, although given the absence of any clear vandalism I'm slightly reluctant to block outright. I don't have access to checkuser or other high-level tools, so I can't be sure. Their recent edits seem to include some non-free image uploads and useless chuff about mixtapes and future releases. Be bold in removing anything unencylopedic and contact me if something needs to be done, eg further protections. You could also report the matter to WP:AIV or WP:ANI if you want other admins to check things out. Deiz talk 06:00, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

McCarthy Trenching

I know nothing about them, but they may be a good band - even notable. But "an article that fails to assert that the subject of the article is notable can be speedily deleted". The article merely states their name and who they're signed with - it makes no reference to why they're notable.

If you'd like to contest the speedy delete, please read the box on the page.

Thanks - and happy editing! -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 06:37, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

  • I usually tag bands that haven't had any releases yet, and I had no idea who that guy was. I noted in the article the Bright Eyes connection. That might save others from tagging it. Terrible name, btw. (The band, not you.) Take care! --Butseriouslyfolks 06:41, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
  • I'm with you on the band name! Rockstar915 06:43, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
Gotcha. Sounds good. -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 06:47, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
You might want to find a reference to them from a reliable source - just to be clear on their notability. -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 06:54, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
You got it! Rockstar915 09:33, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

Interpol

yeah... I guess your right... I went ahead and deleted the article

darn, your fast!

I had the double-headed disadvantage of being both new to Wiki and really really tired... but yes, after reviewing the Wikipedia rules in a nutshell, I found that it really didn't work here...

but that was a good article, at least... I mean, you have to admit :-p

sorry for the trouble... I'm 100 percent behind the user-moderated code of honor, and I'm rather embarassed for crossing it but... yeah... not enough sleep

AFD Grihasoft

Not a problem. Its definitely an article that should be speedy deleted, but if an editor keeps removing the db tag its easier to afd it so that you dont have to worry about monitoring the article since there is a record elsewhere of it being nominated for deletion. Happy editing. Ocatecir Talk 06:07, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

Jackie Chiles Law Society

Thank you for nominating Jackie Chiles Law Society for speedy deletion. I have reviewed the article, and although your suggestion to speedy it was a reasonable one, the creator has sufficiently argued notability on the talkpage that I have declined deletion at this time. You are free to nominate this article at articles for deletion, although it would be courteous to allow the creator a few days to improve the article first. Regards, Newyorkbrad 23:57, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

The article's AfD is open now. Rockstar915 05:39, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

50 Cent discography

This sort of edit, in which you remove material with no reason, is vandalism; the edit summary is abusive, and could lead to an editing block. Please don't repeat either. --Mel Etitis (Talk) 22:26, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

Then, first, give a reason, don't just delete, and secondly, don't call my good-faith edit vandalism. If you'd explained what you were doing, rather than misdescribing my edit, this wouldn't have arisen. --Mel Etitis (Talk) 22:41, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
You have read the edit summary of your revert of my edit? --Mel Etitis (Talk) 22:49, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

Oh good grief, look at the diff. --Mel Etitis (Talk) 22:51, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

You're not a newbie. Not only have you been here for three months, but your first series of edits was to AfDs, showing pretty clearly that you'd either been here for a while under a different name or that you'd been editing anonymously for some time.
And if you'd been a newbie, you shouldn't have been reverting an experienced User's edit with an edit summary accusing him of vandalism — followed by a stubborn refusal to admit that you'd done so.
Anyway, you've now accepted (albeit grudgingly) that the mistake was yours, so let's leave it. --Mel Etitis (Talk) 23:04, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

Speedy on White Unicorn Books

DeWayne, the article's author and owner of the store, added a spamlink to his store to the Independent bookstore a couple of minutes after I reverted the addition of the article-link to the list of notable independents and you put the corp-speedy notice on the article. --Orange Mike 04:49, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

He just attempted to add the spamlink back while not logged in. --Orange Mike 05:29, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
Sometimes I don't understand vandals and spammers... but looks like we can squash this one! Rockstar915 05:39, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

Blübird

Thanks for the kind words and thanks for keeping an open mind. AfD (among other processes of Wikipedia) would be so much smoother if more people were more open to change their minds in the face of new arguments or evidence. (although I'll admit I'm pretty stubborn myself!) Pascal.Tesson 05:59, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

Move Ya Body

Being fairly new to wikipedia and the whole editing process,I'm still catching on to how it all works, however I have noticed that on 2 occasions you have reverted my edits to Move Ya Body where I added a remix of the song on the first paragraph. Both times it was deleted by you.In no way is what I typed Vandalism,so could you please explain why.Thankyou. please

Please dont comment on issuses you now nothing about. I was first personally attacked from Mackan and i just answered to that. And i didnt Canvassed anyone have you seen a vote from that person? no i dont think so. Think before you write.--Matrix17 15:09, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

Mackan message 1:Delete. Per above. The fact that she has been pregnant and lives in Spain does not exactly add much to her notability. Also, Matrix17 has canvassed this vote on a number of user pages, for example here [12]. Mackan 18:01, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

AND

Mackan message 2 Really should have at least one reliable source to confirm its notability, there are loads of articles like this which are not nominated for deletion, probably because more US users are familiar with them. Deleting this smells like US-centrism to me. It should however be noted that Matrix17 has canvassed this vfd on a bunch of user talkpages in a not entirely neutral manner, see [1]. Mackan 18:05, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

MY REPLY TO YOU:Isnt that a personal attack. and where do he ask me?-and no im not taking responsibility for my so called "actions". You should try to find out the facts before entering a discussion like this. He accusing me of canvassing " a bunch of people" where is the proof? so dont give me that. And telling me that i am acting like a child i see that as a personal attack. And you who sayed that its not OK to attack back. and the firs tthing you do is to write that i am childish without me not being rude to you. strange behaviour.--Matrix17 15:30, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

And one more question wher eis the votes then from the person i gave a suggestion to? couldnt it be that she has a mind of her own and that someone giving her a suggestion isnt final for what she will do.just a tought.--Matrix17 15:38, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

Its quite obvious that you dont have a clue what you are talking about and just engage in the discussion to fight. I choice to not talk with you about this any further. Bad faith attack from you anyway.byebye..--Matrix17 18:12, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

Well since you continue arguing i ask you again then. mackan says i have canvassed a bunch of people, on a public forum. Where is the bunch of people? and where is that not a personal attack? And please dont argue about a matter which you obviosuly dont have all the facts in. I have never met you here before and you dont even now me. Personal attack, maybe you should "see into you self" as you wrote. --Matrix17 18:19, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

YOU MESS TO ME:Mackan's messages to you were not attacks, but telling you not to do something that is inappropriate. It doesn't matter if the person you told to vote didn't vote. What matters is that you engaged in an action that was inappropriate. So yes, I do believe you should take responsibility for your actions, and no, my comments were not an attack. My comments were founded in the belief (as held by people like Socrates) that only children do not take responsibility for their actions when they are indeed in the wrong. Furthermore, I did know the facts of the discussion, which is why I chose to enter it. Rockstar915 18:02, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

Well as i have pointe dout to you, where is the vote from the person then? no where because she had a own mind and made a decision on her own, thank you very mutch. You dont have a case. And you did comment specificly on My response to mackans accusations and made it clear to me that i was the one who was wrong. Take responsibility. I have made my case clear to you. i wish to hear nothing further from you about this....--Matrix17 18:29, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

Dito--Matrix17 20:26, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

  • OK, it's time for both of you to drop it. Nothing productive is going to come out of further discussion along these lines.--Isotope23 19:30, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

Interra Systems

Hi, you had placed a {{Template:db-corp}} on the Interra Systems article. However, I have expanded and redid the article (its still a stub, though) and removed the notices slapped. Could you please take a look now?

I understand it does not have secondary sources as references. But it is still in infancy and will get more references as it grows. Also, a quick google search will yield quite some secondary sources. Thanks, and cheers. --soum (0_o) 06:18, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Looks like that was the case. :) Anyways, I removed the tags so that if anyone else sees the article, analyzes it from a neutral point of view and not be biased by the fact that someone else has found it as CSD candidate. I mam trying to find some WP:RS-conformant secondary sources which can be reffed in the article. However, the problem with finding such sources arises from the fact that Interra Systems has a very limited end-user devices presence. Press et al mostly talk about end-user devices and their manufacturers only, and not much about the components or who manufactures them. For this we have to depend on the press releases of either or both parties (which, by Wiki definition, classifies as primary sources). The only other place where they can be mentioned are researchers who benchmark these components. But it is very hard to cite such researchers, per WP:RS. I am sort of confused how to proceed. I can get turnover info and the like, but again, that wont be from secondary sources.
May be its better its deleted. --soum (0_o) 06:34, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks. :) I will search for a few hours. f I still do not find something, I will put it up for deletion. Btw, I was looking at your contribs history. You are doing a great job keeping wikipedia free of unnecessary article proliferation (in other words, with speedies :) ). Keep up the great work. Cheers. --soum (0_o) 06:50, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
Couldnt get enough sources. I have PRODded the article. --soum (0_o) 10:06, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks a ton. :) --soum (0_o) 07:09, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Timbaland

You're welcome ;) . And yes, I removed "Apologize" from the main page cause it's kinda confusing since there are 3 versions of this song (2 previous versions from 2004/2005) and Timbaland only co-produced the latest version of it (the one he took for his album) and it's tagged as "Timbaland - Apologize (feat. OneRepublic)", so I don't think it should be on this section. Anyway, it's listed on the Timbaland production discography page. :) . Don't you agree?--NeptunianDroid 09:23, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Oops, my bad. I haven't seen it. Thanks for reverting ;) .--NeptunianDroid 09:56, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Uncle G

With all due respect, Uncle G was acting in good faith and was not attacking Wikipedian, Historian, and Friend?, nor was he abusing his power. He was just pointing out a relevant fact, namely that Wikipedian, Historian, and Friend? was going through tens of AfDs (some even clear hoaxes or attack pages) and voting keep. Rockstar915 23:41, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Please show the policy that says you cant do what Wikipedian, Historian, and Friend? was doing. Uncle G said & i quote clearly disruptive rationales which is a clear cut case of Not assuming good faith, Making personal attacks & Biting a newcomer DXRAW 23:59, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
