The article Robert Iwanicki has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Article about a football manager who fails WP:GNG and who has not managed a club in a fully pro league.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Sir Sputnik (talk) 13:19, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
Deletion of Robert Iwanicki
editCan you support your claim that the Intercity Football League is fully pro with reliable sources? Sir Sputnik (talk) 14:43, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
Well, for starters, there is no Intercity Football League anymore, this season the league was renamed to Taiwan Football Premier League, which is a first step in the following article [1] We have an annual budged of 2-3 Million NT$ (800000 of it subsidized by government) and EACH player has a valid contract with the club (I can send you a copy of it and you can request a copy at the Association), half of out players play and work as coaches in our club. Let me me know how to prove it to you. Best regards
- All that source show is that the league is planned to be professional in future; what is needed is a source that show that it's fully pro now. Many leagues have professionalism standards as part of their licensing or player registration rules. If this is the case in Taiwan, then post the rules (with translations of the relevant sections if they're not in English) to WT:FPL for discussion. If not, your best bet will be to find secondary sources that discuss the league from a business perspective, specifically about player's salaries.
- There's one other thing I should mention. The way you say "we" leads me to think that you might work for or are otherwise associated with the league or one of it's clubs. If this is the case, it means you have a conflict of interest. Be sure to read Wikipedia guidelines on conflict of interest and be very careful editing articles related to that conflict.
