Speedy deletion nomination of Buff copy

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Buff copy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Karl 334 Talk--Contribs 15:05, 28 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you.   Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Buff copy. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. QuiteUnusual (talk) 15:59, 28 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

What's wrong

edit

Well, basically, you've got a brand new band which doesn't pass WP:BAND for notability. You've got no reliable independent sources WP:RS. West Timperley is hardly a ghetto, and Sale on the whole doesn't fit your description either. All in all, it's too soon for an article, and you need to read WP:PRIMER as well before you even think of trying again. Having said that, I wish you luck. You'll need more than a sense of humour to get anywhere, and remember Wikipedia is not for the up and coming. It's for the arrived (and the past it...). The deletion tags - when you edit, they look like this {{db-something or other}} and are usually up at the top left. You mustn't remove them. Prod tags, yes, you can remove them but you'll land at Articles for Deletion instead usually. AfD tags must not be removed (and a bot puts them back anyway).
