Hello, Reself. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. 2601:188:180:1481:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 13:20, 19 May 2019 (UTC)
Hi, thanks for adding that book reference. I've moved it to a "Further reading" section for the moment, as it's not yet cited anywhere.
If you're familiar with the book, please use it to expand the article more directly, and also to add any relevant citations to it. This can be complicated sometimes, but the easiest way is to embed the magic wikicode {{sfnp|A-R-West|2017|pages= }}
after the punctuation of the relevant sentence, with the page numbers added. Or just give a shout for any formatting help.
Thanks Andy Dingley (talk) 17:55, 19 May 2019 (UTC)
Reself (talk) 20:59, 19 May 2019 (UTC)Good evening; thank you for your message. As you will have noticed, I am still endeavouring to get my head around the method of adding contributions. I am somewhat busy and should try to find time to read the comprehensive help section in this regard.
I am familiar with the book and other works published by these authors, and therefore when I am able to release myself from my smothering workload in due course, then I will expand the article (and similar associated articles) directly and attempt to add the relevant citations accordingly. Thank you for the invaluable advice regarding the embedding of the "magic wikicode". Hopefully it will not take too long, but suspect it might prove complicated. I will undoubtedly be contacting you in the future, thank you again.
