Welcome to Wikipedia! edit

Dear RelentlessRecusant/Archive 1: Welcome to Wikipedia, a free and open-content encyclopedia. I hope you enjoy contributing. To help get you settled in, I thought you might find the following pages useful:

Don't worry too much about being perfect. Very few of us are! Just in case you are not perfect, click here to see how you can avoid making common mistakes.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Wikipedians try to follow a strict policy of never biting new users. If you are unsure of how to do something, you are welcome to ask a more experienced user such as an administrator. New Class program edit

Hi, the context of the article you created is not clear, so I placed the "{{context}}" tag. Can you clarify the introduction of the article so that it can be more easily understood by readers not familar with the subject matter? After this is done, you can remove the tag. Thanks for your contributions! Regards, Accurizer 12:28, 15 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi, this is in response to the questions you left on my talk page. I will take a closer look at the article and try to improve the context of it for you. Also, in response your question about administrators, I am an editor, not an administrator. Information about administrators is available at Wikipedia:Administrators. If you have any other questions please feel free to leave a note on my talk page, or you could also contact any administrator. Regards, Accurizer 19:03, 15 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
Hi, I made some changes to the article to provide context in the introduction. Please take a look at it and make any changes you feel appropriate. Regards, Accurizer 11:50, 16 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

ARC-170 starfighter edit

Please just add that information to the list entry. Thank you. — Deckiller 14:48, 15 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Same thing. If you're going to add information, do it at the list. Isopropyl 14:51, 15 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Lists edit

Generally speaking, we use lists as a way to compress and contain information relevant to the general interest encyclopedia. You may be interested in Wookieepedia, which deals exclusively with Star Wars information. — Deckiller 14:54, 15 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

See, the idea of the list is that all the minor starfighters are merged together in one location to keep it organized and together. There is a lot of info on the ARC, but here's what I recommend:
  • Go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Star Wars, the star wars collaboration.
  • Go to the dicsussion page (Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Star Wars)
  • Post a new comment about whether or not the ARC starfighter should merit its own article.
  • You should get some feedback and opinions, and if they generaly agree that the starfighter deserves its own article, feel free to split it from the list.

You'll probably get some feedback within an hour or two. — Deckiller 15:26, 15 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Image copyright problem with Image:K-wing.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:K-wing.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

EaW tactics edit

Hey there. I'm an active player and modder of EaW, and I know you just want to add tactics for people to play better at this game. However, I have put up a deletion commentary on your tactics pages. Wikipedia is really not a place to post tactics, you might try GameFAQs or IGN for those kind of things. Could you please refrain from making further tactics until the AfD goes one way or another? If it is decided this needs to be removed, we have to go through every page and mark it for AfD. The deletion commentary is at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Star Wars: Empire at War Tactics. Tokakeke 01:33, 21 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Also, if you need any help around Wiki (or want a game of EaW :) ) feel free to let me know. Tokakeke 02:00, 21 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Acclamator edit

I removed the Acclamator from the Star Destroyer page since it is not really a proper Star Destroyer and because the craft already has its own page. Indrian 06:48, 1 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • I am aware of the history of the Acclamator. In fact, if you look at the history of the article, I am the one that put the Acclamator information in the Star Destroyer article in the first place. That was back when the article was much smaller, however. Since then, the Acclamator has been re-spun out into its own article, and the Star Destroyer article has grown quite large. As a result, it serves no purpose to keep the ship on the Star Destroyer page anymore. Indrian 18:39, 1 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Minor Star Wars ships edit

Hey, I've noticed that you have been moving around and deleting stuff. For example, Minor vehicles in Star Wars is now completely blank. What's the master plan there? --maru (talk) contribs 23:56, 3 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

SW ship tables edit

It's good that you're infoboxing various vessels, but I think it'd look a lot better if those tables were right-aligned, not center- or left-aligned. --maru (talk) contribs 17:59, 4 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Battle of N'zoth edit

The biggest problem is that it doesn't say what it is. The first sentence should say, "In the xxx fictional universe ...", or something like that. And the infobox is enormous and just totally dominates the page. It should be much narrower, at most 1/3 the width of the screen. User:Zoe|(talk) 19:27, 23 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Username edit

Hi Relentless. I just wondered whether you meant to call yourself RelentlessRogue rather than Rouge. If you did, you might want to know that you can request a change of name here and retain your contribution history. If you did mean Rouge then please don't take offence, it's a fine name, I just didn't want you to be stuck with a typo if you didn't know that it could be changed. Cheers TigerShark 00:58, 1 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair-use images edit

Hi RelentlessRouge,

I noticed you have some "fair use" images on your user page. It turns out that's against Wikipedia policies; see Wikipedia:Fair use#Policy: "Fair use images should only be used in the article namespace". Would you please remove the images or switch to other (non-fair-use) ones? Thanks. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 02:59, 1 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please take care of this soon. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 15:20, 2 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
I've removed the images. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 18:38, 3 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Your RfA edit

Hi RelentlessRouge. I am dropping you a note to inform you that I have closed your request for adminship early. At the time of closure you had 14 oppose votes with none supporting, the one vote that was cast in support would not have been counted by the closing bureaucrat. I hope you are not too upset by the way your request turned out, consider it a learning experience. I am sure that if you try again in a few months, and continue your hard work, the result will be different. Hopefully I'll see you around, Rje 08:13, 1 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Black Asp edit

OK I have wikified the article somewhat. Changes include the {{SW Craft}} tag, additional wikilinks, external ref's, redirects (HIMS Black Asp, H.I.M.S. Black Asp, RAS Corusca Rainbow, R.A.S. Corusca Rainbow, Corusca Rainbow), and sp. Nothing too major --> nice article! I am by no means a Star Wars expert (never watched it) so be bold and revert any factual inaccuracies. Also, could you add your external links (what in the world is a gravjector?). (3ucky(3all 00:05, 2 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

User page edit

Regarding your story on your user page, I'm sure it's interesting and all that, but please remember to read Wikipedia:User page for a discussion about what is suitable for inclusion. Thanks, and good luck. Isopropyl 12:08, 8 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Again, in case you missed the message above, you should remove the lengthy story on your use page that has nothing to do with Wikipedia. Isopropyl 01:47, 9 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Categories edit

You recently add 'Antibiotic' category to some pages already listed as 'Beta-lactam antibiotics'. Generally, as I understand it, only the lowest possible category level is used. So with 'Beta-lactam antibiotics' being a sub-category of 'Antibiotics', the latter is not needed or used. Similarly one does not apply the still higher category level of 'Pharmacologic agents'. You could try giving a link to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Interiot/Tool2/code.js?username=RelentlessRouge but the viewer wouldn't be able to use IE. As for the compound, that's actually isobutane. For a picture of isopropyl, you can check out the article, or look at the header of my talk page. I'll repost this on your talk page as this is in my archives. Isopropyl 16:03, 9 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Just letting you know, mucous is the British English spelling of mucus. Both are acceptable under Wikipedia as long as their use it consistent Wikipedia:Guidance on applying the Manual of Style. Cheers ☺ -- Serephine talk - 01:40, 18 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

The Sick Rose edit

Hello RelentlessRouge. Thanks for your message - I'm still pretty new to this Wikipedia creating article business, so didn't really understand what you're asking me! Lol, awfully sorry. Don't suppose you could clarify for me? SteVanDan 19:38, 19 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

My new mammal pages edit

Hey there!

I'd be glad of the help! It's a bit hard to read at the moment because I'm breaking up a page I did Mammals discovered in the 2000s into smaller pages. Now that's done I'll go about making it a bit more readable, as it was becoming a bit confusing as you say.

By the way, this Dutch page http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gebruiker:Ucucha/Nieuw has great lists with loads I've missed, I've been googling for a few of the ones on there for info in English.

Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Pete

Bigweld (Robots) edit

OK.

Drewdy

Thanks! We can work on another Robots article! Go on my user page!

Drewdy

Yes. I got the userbox from you. And can we please work on an article about another Robots character? Drewdy 20:07, 19 June 2006 (UTC)DrewdyReply

OK. Let's do Tim next. Drewdy 20:11, 19 June 2006 (UTC)DrewdyReply

The name is Tim (Robots). Drewdy 20:15, 19 June 2006 (UTC)DrewdyReply

Could you add some stuff about Piper, Fender, Bigweld and Tim? Drewdy 20:27, 19 June 2006 (UTC)DrewdyReply

The Sick Rose edit

Rouge, Thanks for the help. I'll try to get round to it at some point. You wouldn't believe this, but entering in the poems is a revision technique too me - I have an A-level Eng Lit exam on William Blake poetry tomorrow, and what better way to get something in your head than by typing it out? I decided that if I was going to type it out, I may as well do it somewhere useful. =) SteVanDan 19:48, 19 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Nominating articles for deletion is extremely fun, but it also is a difficult process. You nominated Jo Y. Wong's article for deletion, but you didn't insert the proper tags for deletion. I went through and corrected it. The discussion for that article's deletion is at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Jo_Y._Wong. In the future, refer to Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion#How_to_list_pages_for_deletion for the three step process for nominating articles for deletion. A personal suggestion would be to further explain your reasons for wanting the article deleted to get other people to agree with you. —№tǒŖïøŭş4lĭfė
