December 2016 edit

  Hello, I'm Darylgolden. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to Ports in India— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.   Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. I have started a discussion about the usage of these external links and possible spamming concerns at Wikipedia:External_links/Noticeboard#www.indianstat.in, please feel free to provide your view in this thread. Small hydro edit

In the table you recently added, there is no description for the units of power given, I assume the numbers refer to megawatt hours, would you be interested in adding that? Dougmcdonell (talk) 21:47, 28 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Cybercrime. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, Ravi Kotwani. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Cybercrime, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. You seem to be the owner of indianstat.in. Please do not continue to post links to this site. Hannibal Smith ❯❯❯ 10:35, 29 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

December 2016 edit

  You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you insert a spam link, as you did at Gandhinagar. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abuse of editing privileges. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.
