Thank you for making a report at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, it appears that the editor you reported may not have engaged in vandalism, or the user was not sufficiently or appropriately warned. Please note there is a difference between vandalism and unhelpful or misguided edits made in good faith. If the user continues to vandalise after a recent final warning, please re-report it. Thank you. Ad Orientem (talk) 00:30, 3 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Ad Orientem, Thank you. I'll investigate this further on my next trip.®asteenn Talk 00:34, 3 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at John Muir High School. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Please do not revert without explanation. Drmies (talk) 13:10, 6 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Drmies, I revert these IP's edits, considering their edits as an attempt to remove sourced content;[1] it wasn't a disruptive edit or intention to disrupt Wikipedia. Other users also revert edits of this anonymous IP's edits,[2] but that's my bad luck; I didn't explain my reason in the edit summary. Next time I'll consider mentioning it in edit summaries.®asteenn Talk 22:24, 6 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yes, the lack of explanation was precisely the problem. The IP explained, albeit somewhat cryptically, and the content they removed was not written in a proper encyclopedic way (starting with "the past two seasons (2013, 2014)"--the past two seasons were obviously 2022 and 2023) and involved non-notable people. So please provide edit summaries; thank you. Drmies (talk) 13:26, 7 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Drmies, I am grateful for your comprehension. Next time in subsequent reverts, I'll offer edit summaries.®asteenn Talk 01:35, 9 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
