The article Dr arvind shaligram has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Your edits on the article about Arvind Shaligram

edit

Dear Rasarje. Many thanks for your edits to ensure the article about Dr. Shaligram is more informative. As Wikipedia has a number of policies regarding biographies of living people, article structure and contents, may I bring the following to your attention: a) the external link to the department website at the very top of the article should be removed as it may give an impression of a promotional article. The article intro should be self contained. External links are fine at the end of the article, b) "Registrar" should not be bolded as it is not a key component of the article, c) headlines and structures may need to be reviewed. Please compare with his colleague Satish Alekar for a well structured article, d) key details will need further external sources or may be deleted according with WP:BLP: Research interest, completed projects, consultancy, memberships. The list of publications is unsourced and may look like original research or the article editor. WP:OR. May I please ask you to pay some attention to the points above. Biographies of living people without sufficient evidence may be deleted at any time. If you have any questions, please let me know. Jake Brockman (talk) 10:58, 2 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

This is to let you know that I have deleted a considerable portion of the article where claims lacked sources or they have been copyright violations as they were copied directly from the university website. Please see WP:COPYVIO. Jake Brockman (talk) 19:23, 4 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Deletion discussion about Arvind Shaligram

edit

Hello, Rasarje,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Arvind Shaligram should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Arvind Shaligram .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,
