Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at User talk:Meters ‎ , is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Meters (talk) 23:38, 2 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please do not delete or edit legitimate talk page comments, as you did at User talk:Meters. Such edits are disruptive and appear to be vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Amortias (T)(C) 23:40, 2 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to delete or edit legitimate talk page comments, as you did at User talk:Meters, you may be blocked from editing. You have a very odd interest in that thread on my talk page, considering that the editor only ever made 5 edits, and I've never had any interaction with you that I know of. Edit warring

edit

It is not appropriate for you to revert repeatedly as you are doing at User talk:Meters. Further reverting will result in a block for edit warring. Chillum 23:49, 2 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please stay off my page. As I said in my first responee, and in its edit summary. I will delete any further comments from you on my talk page. Meters (talk) 00:01, 3 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi Ranabhai! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. Be our guest at the Teahouse! The Teahouse is a friendly space where new editors can ask questions about contributing to Wikipedia and get help from peers and experienced editors. I hope to see you there! Samwalton9 (I'm a Teahouse host)

Your recent edits

edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 22:43, 6 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

February 2015

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Komal Nahta. Amortias (T)(C) 00:02, 7 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

You're mistaken

edit

It appears that you failed to notice that the information I added on the article Muslim conquest of Persia was already mentioned and sourced in the "Raids of Persians in Mesopotamia (638–641)" sub-section of "Conquest of Mesopotamia (636–638)" section. The lead section of an article is summary of the whole article and as such does not require any sources. Read WP:LEAD. I have added sources for my edits at the article however they are not required. You are a new editor so you should take some time understanding the rules of Wikipedia. Happy editing. KahnJohn27 (talk) 06:21, 7 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

@KahnJohn27:Just wanted to let you know that this user is indefinitely blocked and cannot edit their talk page so they cannot answer. Chillum 07:29, 7 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Chillum: Oh thank you. The user didn't have much information about Wikipedia rules and reverted my edits despite the information in them being already sourced in the rest of the article. KahnJohn27 (talk) 07:35, 7 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
