Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at Wikipedia:Teahouse, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  in the enhanced toolbar, or   if you use the old "classic" toolbar) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 17:32, 25 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Florida Academy

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Florida Academy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.   Hello, I'm Deli nk. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Hi Deli nk. I just add my query at your Talk page. Here it is again: Hello Deli, I created a page for Florida academy, which is a business/beauty school in Florida. I analyzed other pages on wikipedia and I created in a same way and a flow. I added only 2 external links, while others have more than that. Also, its a school and I read the rules for that before I published that page. Can you please look into that again?

Thanks, Rahul

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. [2] GermanJoe (talk) 21:28, 29 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • Hello Rahulbtrivedi. Generally speaking, please avoid using blogs, company websites, forums, PR publications and similar sources. Such sources often have a financial stake in the topic, or lack independent fact-checking, or aren't authored by acknowledged independent experts. The exact usage guidelines for the different types of sources are a bit more complex of course, so please make sure to carefully read WP:RS for more-detailed guidance. Please also read WP:COI about a possible "conflict of interest" if you are connected to any of the used websites. Thank you for your consideration. GermanJoe (talk) 21:40, 29 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Sure thing, GermanJoe (talk).
