Hi. Ron Ritzman questioned the way you challenged the closure of the Chris Beatty AfD. It's OK to challenge an AfD close, though WP:DRV explains the normal process. We bring the matter to the attention of the person closing the AfD, and if we get no satisfaction from that, we take the matter to DRV. That a close was not done by an admin doesn't matter - the first step is approaching the person closing to ask them to take another look. And if the close was done by a non-admin and you are not sure if that was done by due process, then ask for a second opinion rather than reverting the close. You were OK to challenge the close, and it's OK not to know the usual way we do things. Wikipedia is not a bureaucracy, so the intent is always what matters rather than the process - but it is useful knowing the way things normally are done so as to avoid drama! I put a CLEAR warning (i think) on his talk page about his questions on why we're deleting it. If he continues to be a disruption I can see a "vandal only account" AIV being appropriate. Right now I think we can WP:ASSUME... I hope. — raeky ^{(talk | edits)} 21:00, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
