Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Management Institute of Canada, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please understand that Accreditation is a Very controversial issue:
1) YOU (Wikipedia) cannot determine if MIC is Accredited or not. You refer to the Oregon List, and the Oregon is American, and We are Canadian. We do not have the same academic criterion in terms of the Accreditation here in Canada. For the USA, only the State recognized organizations give approved accreditation. For Canada, such regulation does NOT exist. We have Only Provincial Accreditation, given by the local governments.
Even, in the provinces of Nova Scotia, and in the provinces of New Brunswick, the authorization to a Degree granting Institution is given by the local government, and non of them ask the new institution to seek for accreditation. So, Accreditation is a US product. I have no problem with that, but MANY universities all over the world, old for more than centuries, have NO accreditation.
What is important for all of them, is a Governmental/ministerial authorization.
2) Accreditation is important for an Institution which issues Degrees. And MIC is NOT a Degree Granting Institution, and does NOT issue any Degrees. Such operation is ILLEGAL in Quebec (Canada). If MIC had this intention to issue degrees, the owners and directors would be in jail, years ago. So, at MIC Degrees are coming from DIU. You wrote that. So, why do you write : MIC is unaccredited institution???. That does not any sens, unless you intent to kill us. This is not honest.
3) MIC has authorization to issue certificates under its name. And for such operation, we have approval from the Canadian/Quebec Government. And no one in the world, would requests accreditation to issue certificates! So, the question of Degrees at MIC, goes to DIU, not to MIC, and Accreditation, is connected to the degree granting matter. So, saying "MIC is an unaccredited Institution" is not appropriate, and is not correct.
Maybe you think people like us are dishonest, money oriented, and you feel having a historical mission to save the young students. But, you ignore that we are more than you worried about our students and our reputation.
Knowing how complex is the question of Accreditation out of USA, that was why we requested many times to delete this article, because we thought you (the writers, or those who are deleting our modifications) would not understand the importance of such issues which are a bit technical and academic, or maybe specific to this or that country. We said, because we cannot call you, and explain you in details, so better to delete the article. Now, if you do not delete the article, and because we cannot even talk on the phone, maybe at least you would accept our modifications. Thanks.
