Speedy deletion nomination of User:Rachel Summers/list of articles

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Rachel Summers/list of articles requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hi MPS1992, why did you tag my list again? Did you even bother to read what was discussed here? The list of articles I want to read through and contribute was not considered a problem by itself. I made all the recommended adjustments to the list, so what is your problem with it? I mean specifically? - Rachel Summers (talk) 14:16, 1 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Hello Rachel, sorry for my slow response to your questions, I have been having a few Wikipedia problems of my own. I'm also sorry that your list is probably not best suited to be displayed on-wikipedia in anything even slightly like the format you had in mind. After the original MfD discussion, it seemed that you were willing to keep your list on your own computer instead of on Wikipedia. Any other way forward would seem to require some sort of agreement as to which names are listed where and how. It all comes back to WP:BLP -- if you eliminated all names from your list that are either living people or died within the last 5 years, then I imagine it would remove most of the problems. But then the list would not be as useful to you in your editing and reviewing material. So I hope that keeping the list locally on your own computer might work?
I should also add, for the record, that after briefly reviewing your edits overall, they are very helpful and constructive, exactly as you say. I apologize if there were ever any suggestions to the contrary. MPS1992 (talk) 23:57, 1 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
