Hardy Boyz

DO NOT ADD WEEK BY WEEK EVENTS, RUMORS OR SPECULATION. THIS INCLUDES ANNOUNCED MATCHES THAT HAVE NOT YET OCCURRED. WIKIPEDIA IS NOT A NEWS SITE BUT AN ONLINE ENCYCLOPAEDIA. Please see the articles "Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not" and "Wikipedia:Guide to writing better articles" for more information.

I'm sorry, but what don't you understand about this? Its a fairly simple concept to understand. If you keep adding these future events, you will be reported. Thanks. --  Mikedk9109  (talk)  00:20, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

ECW December to Dismember

Did you choose to ignore that warning on purpose? It says not to add in matches that haven't been announced on WWE TV or wwe.com, only 2 matches have been announced. TJ Spyke 04:37, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

WWE Armageddon

The matches are listed in the order wwe.com has them listed. So talk to WWE if you have a problem. TJ Spyke 22:39, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

WWE.com doesn't control Wikipedia. The order doesn't have to be the same. People aren't comparing the article and WWE.com and saying "this sucks, it's not the same order.. the article is horrible" or anything like that. When the event takes place, the match order is usually not the same as what was posted on WWE.com... so it doesn't matter. Being accurate is one thing, but being obsessive about the order isn't needed. The main event obviously should be on the top, but the other matches don't make a difference when it comes to the order. RobJ1981 22:46, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
WWE almost always lists the main event/biggest match first. They do so to help sell the PPV since they know most people will care more about something like Batista/Finlay than Benoit/Guerreo for example. TJ Spyke 22:47, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
They only list the biggest match first. I think they add the rest of the matches based on when they are announced, and they announced the Inferno match before the Last Ride match. TJ Spyke 22:51, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
?? I'm just explaining why I think they order the matches the way they do. I'm not "fighting", i've just been saying how wwe.com lists the matches and a plausible explanation for the reason why they list them that way. TJ Spyke 22:56, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
TJ thinks it's right, so anything against his opinion...gets reverted and changed. There is no set Pro Wrestling Project policy on this matter. The only things that make sense when making a match order: main event at the top, champions are listed first. Anything else should be done however, and not just a "set" way just to be a copy of WWE's preview on their website. The order changes when the event takes place anyway...so the match order on right now is temporary... so it shouldn't be a big deal if it's not a copy of WWE.com. Wikipedia policy does NOT allow non-free images on ANY USER PAGES

Please do not include non-free images (images uploaded to Wikipedia without the permission of the copyright owner, or under licenses that do not permit commercial use) on your user page or on any subpage thereof (this is official policy and the usual wide user page latitude does not apply, see Wikipedia:Fair use criteria for details). Non-free images found on a user page (including user talk pages) may be removed (preferably by replacing it with a link to the image) from that page without warning (and, if not used in a Wikipedia article, deleted entirely). -- bulletproof 3:16 23:43, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

It is Wikipedia policy. Per Wikipedia:User page, you are not allowed to use these images on your user page. If you disagree with these official policies and guidelines, then you are free to discuss them here (Wikipedia talk:User page). However, if you continue this blatant disruption, I would be more than happy to report you to an admin. -- bulletproof 3:16 23:55, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on One for the Kids (blink-182 album), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article is a repost of either already posted material, or of material that was previously deleted under Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion. If you can indicate how One for the Kids (blink-182 album) is different from all other articles, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{hangon}}, and also put a note on Talk:One for the Kids (blink-182 album) saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. We welcome your help in trying to improve Wikipedia, and we ask you to follow these instructions. riana_dzasta 11:34, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

AfD Nomination: Captain Oats

I've nominated the article Captain Oats for deletion under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Captain Oats satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. I have explained why in the nomination space (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Captain Oats. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them. You are free to edit the content of Captain Oats during the discussion, but please do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top). Doing so will not end the discussion. riana_dzasta 11:39, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Hello. We use title screens in television articles, please cease adding a redlink to The O.C. thanks/Fenton, Matthew Lexic Dark 52278 Alpha 771 11:47, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

It doesn't matter if you believe it is of "better quality" the reason being we don't use high-quality, high resolution fair use images here. thanks/Fenton, Matthew Lexic Dark 52278 Alpha 771 11:49, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

Image:Denver Nuggets Allen Iverson.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Denver Nuggets Allen Iverson.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MECUtalk 15:14, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Rated-RKO.png

  This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Rated-RKO.png. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. When you use a generic fair use tag such as {{fair use}} or {{fair use in|article name}}, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 17:40, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

You said: "How was that picture used under fair use? I don't understand."
You said we are using the image under fair-use when you uploaded it. You choose the {{WWE-photo}} tag. As the license specifies, you must provide a detailed fair-use rationale for each use on the Wikipedia. You have not yet done this. --Yamla 02:32, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:KevinSorboFrankAtwood.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:KevinSorboFrankAtwood.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Pictures

You said: "Why do all my pictures have those stupid deletion tags on them because of fair use? I told you guys why I believe it is under fair use, so what's the problem? I've seen other pictures with that exact fair use reasoning and those pictures haven't been deleted, so why are mine?"

All fair-use images must have detailed fair-use rationales. Additionally, we are not permitted to use such images to depict living people. There are many images which violate Wikipedia policy. If you find any, please tag them appropriately. Thanks. --Yamla 15:15, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Donald Trump

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Donald Trump, you will be blocked from editing. Stop introducing information on WrestleMania 23. It was already discussed and agreed upon on the article's discussion page. Bmg916 Speak to Me 16:26, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

Announced matches or events that have not yet occurred do not go into articles per Wikipedia's professional wrestling project policies and style guide. That's why the WrestleMania 23 references have been taken out every time. Please see the article's discussion page for further information on why this is not to be included as it has been discussed there many, many times. Bmg916 Speak to Me 17:02, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

Please do not re-add your Backlash logo to the page. There are enough images in the article already and the posters already show the Backlash logo anyways. Your deliberate attempt to add your image just because you uploaded it is a direct violation of Wikipedia's fair use policy as the posters already make your image redundant.-- bulletproof 3:16 04:56, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Your edit to WWE Backlash

Matches are listed in the order they are announced, the tag tag match was announced first. TJ Spyke 02:56, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Whoever told you that was wrong. After a disagreement that caused the Armageddon page to be locked last December, it was agreed that we we list them in the order they are announced. They will of coarse be rearranged during the PPV to be listed in the order they happen. TJ Spyke 03:01, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:Tornado Fish.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Tornado Fish.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 05:09, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Tornado Fish

A tag has been placed on Tornado Fish, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. —Celithemis 05:16, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 16:58, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

Image:Prudential Center Exterior.png

Thanks for uploading Image:Prudential Center Exterior.png.

Thank you. Yamla 16:59, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

Johnny Miller (Hidden Palms)

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the Johnny Miller (Hidden Palms) article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page. -- Whpq 19:27, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

SummerSlam

I see that you uploaded the image Image:Kane Entrance.jpg, and I was just wondering you would happen to have any more pictures from that event. If so, can you please upload them, I would really like to add them to the SummerSlam (2007) article. Thanks, –Cheers, LAX 10:23, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Please give them a public domain tag like you did to the Kane image. –Cheers, LAX 10:42, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

July 2008

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cryme Tyme Cenation, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. D.M.N. (talk) 19:46, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
