User talk:75.145.100.217

Heyo! Question for you... Saw you tagged User talk:75.145.100.217 as a school ip. I've always wondered, how do you figure out that it is a school IP? --Zackmann08 (Talk to me/What I been doing) 20:26, 30 September 2015 (UTC)

@Zackmann08: To figure out if an IP is shared either by a school or something else, you can use the Geolocate and WHOIS tools (at the bottom of every IP's talk page) which will show you who the ISP of that IP address is as well as what organization/company it might be registered to. Usually one or the other will tell you what kind of IP it is (i.e. registered to "XYZ School District" or the ISP might be a state computing association used to provide internet access to schools). If it is a shared corporate, school, public (e.g. city library), or government IP you just find the right Shared IP template (more specific ones are lower on the page) and add it to the top of the page. Full disclosure: in the case of that particular IP I tagged it based on its behaviour being shared with a confirmed school IP in a similar range. Hope this helps! RA0808 talkcontribs 20:34, 30 September 2015 (UTC)
That does help! I was just confused because when I search on this particular IP, nothing in there seemed to indicate it was from a school. thanks!! --Zackmann08 (Talk to me/What I been doing) 21:00, 30 September 2015 (UTC)

Mississauga mayors

Hello, I noticed you added a succession box for the mayors of Missisauga. While it seems useful information to have the succession information is already included in the infobox and adding a separate succession box is redundant. This violates one of Wikipedia's guidelines. Please review WP:TCREEP for further information. EncyclopediaUpdaticus (talk) 12:48, 1 October 2015 (UTC)

@EncyclopediaUpdaticus: Thanks for the heads up. RA0808 talkcontribs 21:56, 1 October 2015 (UTC)

Re: Battle of Moon Sound

You wrote this:

Hello, I'm RA0808. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Battle of Moon Sound with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. RA0808 talkcontribs 20:27, 30 September 2015 (UTC)

Now, you replacing the content I deleted can only be explained if you are a bot, or if you are a troll trying to ruin Wikipedia. 1. Contrary to what you state, I explained why I deleted that text. 2. If you tried to read the text in the entry immediately above and the text I deleted, you would notice that they state contrary things, and the text I deleted is a complete invention, with ZERO adherence to reality. 3. That content seems to based on a reference to a closed web page "Soviet Empire" that seems to be pure fiction. The section I removed is for sure pure fiction. 4. Your behavior is really disgusting. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.80.124.136 (talk) 19:17, 1 October 2015 (UTC)

@188.80.124.136: Yes, I can see that I made a mistake in reverting that particular edit. The warning on your user talk page has been redacted and I've tagged that section for further review. However: please note that accusing other users of being trolls and calling their behaviour "disgusting" is not conducive to a productive community on Wikipedia and is against Wikipedia's policy on personal attacks. I understand that these things sometimes happen due to frustration or the heat of the moment, so a good way to avoid inadvertently violating the policy is to comment on the content not the contributor. Re: Indianapolis Zoo

Hi. I'm Carla Knapp, the Public Relations Specialist at the Indianapolis Zoo [1] and I'm trying to update the content on the Zoo's Wikipedia page. However, I received a message saying the edits I made had been reverted. I've never done this before so I apologize if I did something wrong. Having reviewed the content on the Indianapolis Zoo page, it is very outdated and some of it is incorrect. Also the way the page is organized is a little confusing. We've made some significant changes to our Zoo since the Wikipedia content was written, so I have a lot of changes to make but I want to do it the right way. Is it easier to update the content a little at a time or all at once? Basically all the changes will come from information that's already presented on our website and online media kit, so I have plenty of sources. Any suggestions you have would be most appreciated. I'm happy to have any feedback on how to properly update the content. Thanks. Carla Knapp (talk) 14:09, 5 October 2015 (UTC)

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. See response on your talk page. RA0808 talkcontribs 01:01, 6 October 2015 (UTC)

Re: [Aurora Organic Dairy]

Dear RA ... we have tried to correct inaccuracies and one-sided, inflammatory information on the Aurora Organic Dairy Wikipedia page for several years now. Every attempt comes up without any action. The edits I made to the page, which you quickly reverted, have been on the article's talk page for more than 2 months without any response. You can review the talk page to see how and why the edits should be made. First off, Mark Retzloff was not the founder or owner of the company. Marc Peperzak is the founder and CEO, and started the company as a conventional dairy company in 1976. It was in 2003 that the company committed to 100% organic production and processing. This is an obvious error in the page that needs to be corrected, as it causes confusion among people working with the company. Additionally, the information regarding the 2007 USDA action is biased and is not presented truthfully. Again, the information and source material is available in the talk page information posted more than 2 months ago. Finally, there has been other news about the company since 2007, yet nothing new has been posted on the page. What do you need to present this company in a more balanced light? The entire page is related to activist attacks on the company, but does not reflect the story of the company itself. Please let me know why there is a general lack of attention to presenting an honest, complete story about Aurora Organic Dairy. 174.16.106.158 (talk) 19:12, 6 October 2015 (UTC)

@174.16.106.158: I'm going to assume that this is from STuitele, in future for simplicity please send messages while logged in and respond to them on the talk page where they were made. To address your comments, if you want the edits to be brought to an editors attentions use the {{request edit}} template (click for instructions on how to use). That will place the page in a special category monitored by users who respond to edit requests. Additionally, please take note of my message on your talk page about conflicts of interest and how to approach them. RA0808 talkcontribs 19:18, 6 October 2015 (UTC)

Germany–India relations

Hi, I would like a second opinion on the deletions of text done by User:Shrikanthv on the Germany–India relations article on the basis of WP:SYN.

According to the 2014 BBC World Service Country Rating Poll which measures the influence and perceptions of countries across the world, Germans lead the list with 68% expressing a negative view of India, surpassing Pakistan where 58% held anti-India views.BBC World Service 2014 Country Rating Poll

Could you please check the relevant discussion on the article's talk page Talk:Germany–India relations and weigh-in with your comments/opinions ? Thanks.81.240.175.173 (talk) 15:37, 7 October 2015 (UTC)

RE: Kromtech Alliance editing

Jeppa and hello,

I´ll try to write in English as good as possible about the Kromtech alliance case:

As they write in Wikipedia The Kromtech Alliance Headquarter is in Germany. But there is no Company registration in Germany for Kromtech Alliance (KA).The Adress offered at the Homepage Richmodstrasse 6 in Cologne is real, but there is no Company Kromtech there. And in Germany they have to register company! As you can check at: www.Handelsregister.de When you walk to the offered Adress in Cologne, there is no Company at all. Additionally there is no entry in the public telephonebooks. Us research: http://www.hoovers.com/company-information/company-search.html?term=kromtech%20alliance will describe that the company is sitting in Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands C/O: Midland Trust Limited. Or : https://www.sec.gov/cgi-bin/browse-edgar?company=kromtech&match=&filenum=&State=&Country=&SIC=&myowner=exclude&action=getcompany&Find=Search

When you research that, you´ll find out, that there is an Offshore Company Bureau called Midland Trust limited. From here there is no more research possible. The Domain research of www.kromtech.com result is: http://www.domainsearch.com/cgi-bin/Domain_Search?action=whois&DomainName=kromtech.com&AdCode=infobox2

Registred in RIGA. But Company research result is: https://directory.esomar.org/results.php?searchnew=Kromtech+Alliance&search_fieldnew=name&x=0&y=0 There is no Kromtech in RIGA. Same here: http://de.gbrdirect.eu/companySearchResults.aspx

Interesting is that the Company research of EDGAR in USA will find nothing. https://www.sec.gov/cgi-bin/browse-edgar?company=kromtech+alliance&match=&filenum=&State=&Country=&SIC=&myowner=exclude&action=getcompany&Find=Search.

When you follow this website: http://memorykeeper.kromtech.net/company and follow to "PCkeeper" there is an new Adress: http://pckeeper.com/de/company in Bratislava. But Domain registration say that the company is in Panama. http://www.domainsearch.com/cgi-bin/Domain_Search?action=whois&DomainName=essentware.com&AdCode=infobox2

So there is my End of Research...... I think that Wikipedia should tell facts about Company´s. Not what company´s try to tell us.

Regarding your Answer.
