Hi, Profexorgeek, welcome to the Wyoming WikiProject. We are glad to have all of the helpers we can get. It is especially nice to have more people that actually live in Wyoming. The project is seriously lacking in pictures for many of our articles, so whatever part of Wyoming you are from, we probably need a picture from there. Thanks for the welcome CP. I started the Wyoming Army National Guard article today. I got pretty far but there is a lack of reliable info online. I have a contact at the WNG that has informed me they are releasing a new site with a lot more information and cleaner design soon. When that comes out I will improve information and content as much as possible with info from the src. In the meantime, I put what I could find into the article I wrote. Regarding pictures: I didn't have time to check out the needed photos pages but I'll see what's needed and shoot anything that's close to my locale if I get a chance. profexorgeek (talk) 05:09, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

2019 US Banknote Contest

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons. In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.
