April 2021 edit

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to Mass shootings in the United States: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. Gaia Octavia Agrippa Talk 12:56, 11 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Gaia Octavia Agrippa: I have discovered Twinkle and using some warnings, but I was not sure what warning to use for this revert at Mass shootings in the United States. I didn't understand why the IP was removing that sentence, but maybe they had a good reason? I asked for a reason in my edit summary.PrisonerB (talk) 13:05, 13 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thermocouple page edit

Hi PrisonerB - could you let me know what was inappropriate about the addition I made to the thermocouple page? I'm relatively new to this - are you able to reinstate the text I added but remove the link if that is where the issue lies? Thanks.

Israel Palestine editing edit

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in the Arab–Israeli conflict. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Nableezy July edit

Have you ever used another account on Wikipedia? nableezy - 13:49, 27 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Many numbered (IP) accounts in the past couple of years, but this is my only named account. PrisonerB (talk) 15:16, 31 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Alcohol use disorder edit

I think you should read the alcoholism page: "Because there is disagreement on the definition of the word alcoholism, it is not a recognized diagnostic entity. Predominant diagnostic classifications are alcohol use disorder (DSM-5) or alcohol dependence (ICD-11); these are defined in their respective sources." And from the highly reliable NIAAA [1], "It encompasses the conditions that some people refer to as alcohol abuse, alcohol dependence, alcohol addiction, and the colloquial term, alcoholism." Merriam Webster agrees too, FYI [2] "NOTE: Alcohol use disorder ranges from mild to severe and is typically considered to encompass conditions also referred to as alcohol dependence, alcohol abuse, alcohol addiction, and alcoholism." They say that, but "alcohol abuse" is not the same as "alcohol use disorder".PrisonerB (talk) 10:14, 4 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Miral Asset Management page edit

Hi PrisonerB - could you let me know what was inappropriate about the addition I made to the Miral Asset Management page? I am new to this. Basically I was trying to provide more information about Miral, since they are major contributors in Abu Dhabi's growth of the leisure and entertainment industry and economic diversification.
