Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Star Mississippi 16:25, 9 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hi Star Mississippi. I hadn't previously read the rules properly about paid contributions so I have now taken the following steps:
- Updated my Talk page with a proper disclousure of the paid interest from my boss for the edit I made to his draft page.
- Requested an unblock.
- Requested a username change.
I am also reviewing the language that has been used on the page. My boss has been interviewed, and the main company has been covered, all by reputable third parties. Is there anything in particular you want to see added, changed or doesn't fit the Wikipedia guidelines?
Thanks Prequel Inc (talk) 14:01, 19 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Hi. I recently was asked by Timur Khabirov, who is my employrer, to edit his personal Wikipedia page. I created a new account using the company name and made the edit without properly reading up on the guidelines on disclosing my employer on the talk, edit and / or user pages. I now understand that there are very strict rules on this and that I must fully disclose the organization that is employing me. I am happy to provide that information on the relevant pages. I would like to change my username on Wikipedia to remove the company reference and make the disclosure public. With my edit of the page itself I have been very careful to only contains links to published content written by reputable third parties, either about the author or his interests, in accordance with Wikipedia' guidelines, however I will review this to ensure the language avoids self promotion. I have now read the guidelines on paid contributions and am willing to disclose all this information on edits to relevant pages I make that are connected with my organization. I only intend to update the relevant pages with reliable sources published by reputable third parties about the subject

Decline reason:

Mr. Khabirov and you seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding as to what Wikipedia is. (Feel free to show him this message) It is not his "personal Wikipedia page", but a Wikipedia article about him. In this case, it isn't even an article, but a draft. (You didn't create it, have others been asked to edit it?) Wikipedia articles are typically written by independent editors wholly unconnected with the subject, who take note of significant coverage in independent reliable sources and choose to write about the subject. Subjects may only merit an article if they meet the special Wikipedia definition of a notable person. Since it seems that you still intend to write about Mr. Khabirov, there are no grounds to remove the block, as your boss has given you an impossible task. If you want to be a general contributor and edit about topics for which you have no conflict of interest, please tell what. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 16:38, 19 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
