Hello, I'm Oshwah. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to George Dillman seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 06:06, 15 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at George Dillman. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Read the edit summaries for explanations. Please do not reinsert that content. Even if it were appropriate, it would need reliable printed sources. Drmies (talk) 02:13, 16 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Pothero101 -- Hi Drmies, Initially I attempted to chat on your page to message you but was unable to post on your talk page due to permissions, so I sent you an email instead, I have also reverted the changes with the line you didn't like removed. I have just started editing wikiepedia documents because I saw this one needed some help. I was just trying to add some additional information to the topic. I'm not sure what you are looking for, for a source, you state a printed source but a video interview will never be printed but is an awesome source. The quotes I added summarized the interview and gives a good perspective on "George Dillman". I am not currently fighting with another user but it seems that a particular user is incredibly invested in him being portrayed in a good light, the user has only ever edited "George Dillman"'s page and "Ryūkyū" karate page that links to George Dillman. I would assume it has something to do with still being able to sell books. He just reverted my changes once and I posted on his talk page attempting to communicate with him. Drmies, I would like to be a good addition to this website so if you could please lead me in the right direction to adding this infromation to George Dillman's page that would be really appreciated -- Thanks so much Pothero101

  • Pothero, please stop this foolishness. No, the text does not give a "good perspective". It is poorly written and has grammatical errors, and it is verified to some video. Your text suggest that a nationally renowned magazine did some in-depth study into a phenomenon; in fact, it's a bunch of video of things happening and a "paranormal investigator" commenting on it. You seriously need to stop this. In addition, I'm wondering if that link isn't a copyright violation: Diannaa, the video is something someone recorded from a National Geographic pay channel--can we link to that? Drmies (talk) 14:22, 16 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
No we cannot, because the video was uploaded to YouTube by somebody other than the copyright holder. — Diannaa (talk) 14:29, 16 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

HI Diannaa (talk) -- Could you please post some assistance here, Drmies is just stopping me from posting entirely and not giving me any avenue to move forward. I'm asking for assistance in doing this the correct way. This is pertinent information about the page that I am attempting to add. If I can find the original source of the interview or find a source that isn't copyright protected would that be good enough? Or what are you actually looking for here. Drmies seems to have closed their eyes and no longer cares about the truthfulness of the information posted on here.

What you need to do is find a reliable source for the content you add. See what you can do with this article in the Montreal Gazette. Don't copy-paste it or add large quotations; sum it up in your own words.— Diannaa (talk) 16:48, 16 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
