Speedy deletion nomination of 0 conjecture edit

A tag has been placed on 0 conjecture, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Already speedy-deleted yesterday. The creator Physics0x01 was blocked for trolling and this is clearly more BS from the same vandal.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Pichpich (talk) 15:54, 8 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • I have speedily deleted the article, and protected it against re-creation. And claiming that you are somebody else than User:Physics0x01 (and perhaps just accidentally trying to create the same article) isn't going to fool anybody. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 16:13, 8 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • The reason why division by zero is undefined is obvious: division is an opposite operation to multiplication, and there's no such real number for which "x*0=1" is true. (If you were to posit that 1/0 were equal to 0, you'd have to conclude that 0*0=1.) - Mike Rosoft (talk) 16:25, 8 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • In some contexts, it can be useful to define 1/0 as infinity, but this leads to complications: do we distinguish between positive and negative infinity? If not, then infinity + infinity is undefined. If so, then we need to distinguish between positive and negative zero etc., and infinity - infinity (and infinity * 0) is still undefined. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 16:38, 8 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
