What was that?

What was that all about? Do you suspect sockpuppetry? — Novice7 (talk) 09:10, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

I didn't like what just happened. I couldn't take it, when that user posted Mimi was a trumpet. It is an insult. Isn't it? — Novice7 (talk) 09:17, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

Diva Wars

Hi Nathan. I hope you are in good health. I saw this. I just hope Legolas never sees what you have written. You how much he likes Madonna. Lol. Anyway, whoever wrote those comments should have first thought that at least, Mariah does not have to run after men who are more than 25 years younger than her or get practically nude in her videos. Jivesh Talk2Me 18:36, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for telling me that and you are also a great friend. By the way, for the GA, i admit that i went a bit too fast. We will talk later. I am leaving for school now. Jivesh Talk2Me 02:54, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

You are very kind Nathan. Jivesh Talk2Me 08:41, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

Re: UK certifications

If you're searching by artist, try "Rihanna ft Drake" and "David Guetta ft Rihanna" for "What's My Name?" and "Who's That Chick?", respectively. Otherwise, you have to search "Rihanna" as a keyword and not as an artist. It can be tricky as both those songs contain question marks, apostrophes, and featured artists. Good luck. Yves (talk) 01:40, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

I think it's because they make it an exact match search thing for the artist search. For the title, though, searching "my name" or "that chick" can also give you what you seek. Yves (talk) 02:04, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
Anytime. :) Yves (talk) 02:07, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

Rainbow

Hi there Nathan! I removed the Rainbow cover from your sandbox, and have added a free cover for sandbox use. And, there is an Entertainment Weekly review for Rainbow here. —Novice7 (talk) 09:59, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, I noticed that too. And, noo :D I got it yesterday while searching "Mariah Carey Rainbow" on Google. I like it, but, Pitbull is so ugghh.. *thumbs down* Yup, it's goin' to #1 next week. Novice7 (talk) 03:07, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
Lol, exactly :D And, yes, I expected more from the video too. Novice7 (talk) 05:13, 8 March 2011 (UTC)

Updating

So I think I got sources covered for Ultra Platnium Edition & Recording, but if you just happen to come across anything related to promotion could you ping them to me. If not, if you see any live television performances also, because if a concrete source is not available, the least I could do is cite the actual airing :) Btw, your Rainbow project is shaping up pretty well. In working on the Mimi article, I've learned alot more about her career than I knew before. Definitely doesn't get enough credit as she should. Candyo32 22:31, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Butterfly World Tour

The article Butterfly World Tour you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold  . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needed to be addressed. If these are fixed within seven days, the article will pass, otherwise it will fail. See Talk:Butterfly World Tour for things which need to be addressed. Adabow (talk · contribs) 20:05, 11 March 2011 (UTC)

Hehe, I just use {{GANotice}}. I passed the article. By the way, I bet you found Mariah Carey Concert Tours helpful! It seems almost made for Wikipedia use lol. Adabow (talk · contribs) 03:19, 13 March 2011 (UTC)

Beyonce's Fourth Studio Album

I just hope it's something good. To tell you frankly, "Deja Vu" for instance was not a good choice for a lead single from B'Day. Jivesh Talk2Me 08:38, 11 March 2011 (UTC)

Personally, I like "Deja Vu" waaaaay more than "Single Ladies". But apparently she's creating a new genre, so the record should be HUGE! Adabow (talk · contribs) 08:48, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
I agree with Adabow on this one. "Deja Vu" was very fierce! "Single Ladies" was catchy, but I never liked it that much.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 09:37, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
Well, i prefer "Single Ladies" because i never get fed up of listening to it. However, my favorite one remains "Sweet Dreams". Jivesh Talk2Me 11:00, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
Jay-Z really needs to shut the big mouth he has got. Can you believe this? Jivesh Talk2Me 11:00, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
I am a bit scared for her new record. I mean, i feel like the fourth album of every artist turns out to be a disaster most of the time. For instance, The Element of Freedom (one of my favorites). Jivesh Talk2Me 11:02, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
Usher's Confessions was one of the biggest albums of the decade, however. Adabow (talk · contribs) 19:09, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
He wasn't that successful with hi debut effort. — Legolas (talk2me) 03:48, 12 March 2011 (UTC)

(→) No Jivesh. Madonna "Like a Prayer" was successful, and so was Mimi's "Merry Christmas", Whitney's "The Bodyguard" (although it's a soundtrack), Celine's fourth English album "Let's Talk about Love" ... Novice7 (talk) 04:23, 12 March 2011 (UTC)

I just hope Beyonce does well too. Jivesh Talk2Me 06:15, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
Lol, glad to have you guys all here :D. Yes, Jay-Z is a cocky bastard, I do not like him at all. And let's see, I don't know why but I feel Beyonce's popularity is in decline :S--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 02:22, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
It pains me to say so Nathan but i think you are right. Let's wait for the first single. Jivesh Talk2Me 18:04, 13 March 2011 (UTC)

Congratz!

Great work, Vision of Love is now GA! Also, great work on these Mariah Carey albums, Rainbow and most of TEOM is spectacular!--Blackjacks101 (talk) 15:17, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

Well I am sure the final product will be amazing since you two are such great editors, so since your basically done the Butterfly era are you now going to finish the Rainbow era?--Blackjacks101 (talk) 15:31, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
Wow that's great!...then the dreaded Glitter and Charmbracelet eras, that won't be fun. Some of the songs on those albums are pretty good but those entire eras are just sad and probably won't be fun to write about.--Blackjacks101 (talk) 15:50, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
Ya Emotions will be difficult..and I also agree with you. Mariah thought that she could do something from back in the day to garner more success but it flopped. Sadly she needs to move more to the dance scene to get the success again, and do a major performance to get the public interested again. Which is sad since she has a awesome voice and dance beats may overshadow that. She also needs to ditch The Dream and get better new producers like RedOne.--Blackjacks101 (talk) 15:59, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
Ya I would love for her to come back strong and show up everyone that said "MooMoo was gone." I really hope she gets 3 more number ones to pass The Beatles. Mariah doesn't need to do a Memoirs...I'll always have my Music Box/Daydream/Butterfly CD's if I want classic Mariah.--Blackjacks101 (talk) 16:06, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
Definitely! She needs to take her time on this one and actually go back in shape. I guess I'll just listen to my Gaga since then =)...even though I know you are starting to get annoyed of her lol--Blackjacks101 (talk) 16:20, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

Rainbow, again

Here's another review LA Times. Yep, you guessed it right. I found this during my expedition for "TGIFY" reviews. Right now, I'm working on it. It's not in a pretty good state, btw. Feel free to take a look :) Novice7 (talk) 10:27, 13 March 2011 (UTC)

I saw it. It's amazing!!!! Don't hesitate to tell me if we need different samples of songs. The Can't Take That Away one is too mellow, without the R&B beat. TGIFY one is faded too much like that. As for live performance of "HB" and "CTTA", here's another source [1]. I'll try to finish TGIFY by tomorrow (tomorrow in India :D) Novice7 (talk) 10:34, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
That's better. Sources? I just dig up Google News Archive and Higbeam.com. They have plenty of articles dating back to 1940s, I guess. Anyway, Good night :) Novice7 (talk) 10:47, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
We need subscription :( I don't have one either, so, what I do is just search for the required title, and use the articles which allow full preview. Or, you could do this method. It's tricky, but works. Novice7 (talk) 06:54, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
Thanks :P Of course, they have some amazing articles. You might want to try Google News Archive. It is good too. Novice7 (talk) 07:26, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

I'll try to find more :) And, thanks for taking up 'Exhale' review. Novice7 (talk)

Glad you found them useful. And, thanks. I didn't work much on "Exhale", but Crowded did :D Novice7 (talk) 07:21, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

Hey Nathan, I normally wouldn't ask something like this but would you mind stopping by here and post your opinion. It's just that time is running out and I don't want to see it fail due to lack of votes. Thanks so much =D--Blackjacks101 (talk) 14:05, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

OMG!!!

Guess what I found... This!!! I hope that's enough to expand Music and lyrics of Rainbow. Then, this for Recording section of "Heartbreaker", Heartbreaker Billboard review, Novice7 (talk) 11:42, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

Glad to help. As for the second source, I thought the recording and production equipments can be added in to the article? I'm not sure though. Novice7 (talk) 03:27, 19 March 2011 (UTC)
Nathan, check out Commons (stalk my contribs there :P) I've uploaded three new Mariah photographs. They're from US Defense. I'm not sure if you would like them :) Novice7 (talk) 06:18, 19 March 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, Mimi's pics are okay. What about Whitney? Nothing good at all. Lol, yes.. I though "Irresistible" first and then move on to TGIFY. I've these two articles on my list. And, about Heartbreaker, it is soooo amazing!!! Looks fantastic!! Novice7 (talk) 06:45, 19 March 2011 (UTC)
Lmao. I tried asking some photographer I found on flickr, he didn't respond. I posted on some fansite forum, nobody answered. I looked through US DoD websites, again in vain :( If you get a chance, can you ask some of your friends? Maybe a few of them would have some pics, and they can upload them to commons. Against All Odds is kinda big. Actually, I love the Rainbow era. I don't know why, but something was really different about Mariah. What about Do You Know Where You're Going To? Is it needed? I promise I'll get on TGIFY fast. Novice7 (talk) 07:39, 19 March 2011 (UTC)
Thanks! Yes, "Do You Know" has such an enchanting melody and her voice sounds okay, though it's hoarse (like I Still Believe). They're there. Sometimes, some photos do disappear into thin air, and return after a few moments :D Gotta go now. See ya later :) Novice7 (talk) 07:49, 19 March 2011 (UTC)

The Beat of Beyonce's New Single.

Hi Nathan. I hope you are fine. I am not really very present on Wikipedia these days. I am very busy at school. Just stopped by to enquire about your health and to make you hear this? Please comment. I find it very nice. Jivesh Talk2Me 12:04, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

I just hope this is true because i fell in love with it at first listen itself. I cross my fingers. Lol. Jivesh Talk2Me 01:54, 19 March 2011 (UTC)

Exhale (Shoop Shoop)

Thanks for the review Nathan! I believe I've addressed the issues. Novice7 (talk) 07:38, 20 March 2011 (UTC)

I'll fix Shoop soon. Here are some reviews:
I'll find more soon :) Novice7 (talk) 10:44, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
Chicago Tribune and EW and Sun-Sentinel :-) Novice7 (talk) 10:46, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
You're most welcome :) As I said before, my gate towards review is Google News Archive. So, tryna get Butterfly to an FA? Novice7 (talk) 10:56, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
TEOM is looking really good. And, a PR would be great! And, Butterfly has a lot of potential. We just have to give each section a close look, and hopefully it'll be an FA. Also, Rainbow. It looks soo good too. Novice7 (talk) 11:04, 20 March 2011 (UTC)

MC-WH songs? It's hard, but here it goes: MC:

  • Close My Eyes, Forever, Can't Let Go, Heartbreaker, Anytime You Need a Friend.

There are lotts more (I started out as a die-hard MC fan :D) WH:

  • You Were Loved, All at Once, Until You Come Back, So Emotional, I'm Every Woman.

Again, lottss more (I started listening WH music after hearing 'When You Believe'). So, what are you favorite MC and WH songs? Novice7 (talk) 11:14, 20 March 2011 (UTC)

"Shoop Shoop Shoop de Shoop..." Done! Novice7 (talk) 11:25, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
Haha.. If that's the case, I also like Whenever You Call, I Still Believe, I'll Be There, Outside (such an underrated song), I Only Wanted (just perfect), All My Life (from the one and only Glitter), Reflections, Honey, Breakdown, Babydoll, Beautiful Ones,...... A BIG LIST!! Whitney, "Where Do Broken Hearts Go", "I'm Your Baby Tonight", "My Name Is Not Susan", "I Have Nothing", "Count on Me", "Heartbreak Hotel", "How Will I Know", and my personal favorite "You Give Good Love" :) :) :) Imo, Whitney's best album is "Waiting to Exhale" and "My Love Is Your Love". MC's are "Daydream", "Butterfly" and my fave "Glitter" (lol, Glitter is too cool). Novice7 (talk) 11:36, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
Yes, indeed. And, yes, Clive toned down GLOA and few other songs as he felt it was too black! Who would do that? Yes, I heard EFA a long time ago, I have to hear it :) Music Box was good, but I don't know Daydream felt much better. Maybe the R&B feel fitted her voice, unlike Whitney. I love Whit's Pop songs more that her R&B songs. Memoirs is soo thin and yes, full nasal voice. Angels Cry says it all. But, the song beats were cool! I also like Merry Christmas and Whit's Preacher's Wife soundtrack. Okay, so what do you think about "I Only Wanted"? Novice7 (talk) 11:49, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
Wow, an MC voice analyzer and critic :P Lol, most of the people are obsessed with singers they love. It's natural. Btw, I echo your opinion. Everything you wrote is absolutely correct! Novice7 (talk) 12:03, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
Lol, I hope MC takes a new direction. Yes, I heard about Bobbi :( So sad, but she and her dad Brown dismissed the rumors. I hope she doesn't go the same way as Whit—a beautiful talented lady gone wrong :( Novice7 (talk) 12:22, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
Okay, the Whitney fan in me has been brought out :D Brown is self-absorbed person who was (and still is) jealous of Whitney. She liked his bad boy character, and fell for him. I might have gone a bit overboard, I'm sorry :( Even in her late twenties, she looked like a 20 year old (Bodyguard) (and even in her early thirties like Waiting to Exhale). Drugs ruined her beauty for good. Not to mention her golden voice :( I always thought, after seeing Preacher's Wife, that Whit should have married Denzel Washington :D Novice7 (talk) 12:32, 20 March 2011 (UTC)

(→) Yes, he would! He destroyed her character too (made her to yell "Kiss My Ass"??). The voice is gone for good :( The beauty too. Yes, Denzel and her would have made a cute couple. He's a nice person :) Thank you for passing the article. Okay, so, I'm logging off now. Got something important to finish. Talk to ya later :) Novice7 (talk) 12:44, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
