File permission problem with File:Evan Daugherty.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Evan Daugherty.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Peripitus (Talk) 10:50, 13 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

I'm a bit confused edit

As to why this redirect exists. It's not a big deal or anything, but I'm just wondering if you intended to move it to Userspace. The former article is now a redirect to the subsection of Catching Fire dealing with the film, but the Userspace redirect doesn't seem to serve much of a purpose. Are you intending to use it for page development purposes? If so, you might want to move it to User:Peteaaadav/The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (film), just so it's not out there confusing people, or making people think that there's a user with that name. Evanh2008 (talk|contribs) 02:05, 19 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

I don't know what I'm doing edit

I don't know how to work Wikipedia fully yet but I was trying to expedite the creation of my article which is eventually going to be The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (film), but the redirect was not allowing me to create it. So I was trying to get it out of the way to get rid of it (hence the User page that wasn't a User), and now it's all messed up. If you could tell me who to talk to about fixing this that'd be great. Peter Davenport 02:27, 19 July 2012 (UTC)

No worries. I went ahead and created this page for you, where you can work on the article in question until you think it's ready to be moved into the article namespace. You may want to read up on our notability guidelines for films first, though. There was a page at the location The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (film) several weeks ago, but it was deleted because it failed those guidelines. To put it briefly, there shouldn't be an article for any film that hasn't begun filming yet. Once that happens, an article for the Catching Fire movie can be created, and you are invited to contribute. Thanks for your contributions! If you need assistance or have questions about anything else, just let me know and I'd be glad to help you. Evanh2008 (talk|contribs) 02:34, 19 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
Okay thanks so much! Peter Davenport 02:38, 19 July 2012 (UTC)
That is not the correct place for the article. The article should be named The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. No disambiguation suffix is required because this is a unique article name. The book, and its article, are simply titled Catching Fire. So no (film) or year of release is necessary for this article title. Also, read WP:NFF for information on why future films do not have articles until they have started production. You may want to post in WT:FILM to coordinate your efforts with other interested editors, because this is a popular film, you are not the only one wanting to work on a future article. Also, consider joining that WikiProject if you are interested in films in general. Elizium23 (talk) 04:24, 19 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
