Your recent edits edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 11:55, 15 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Zean Cabangis edit

Hi Pediapediahan!!

A few points that I would raise to you and your classmates re: sourcing:

  • Please try to avoid using blogs or self-published material as sources. Because it is typically published without editorial oversight or control, it is not verifiable or considered reliable. Try to use third-party sources where possible. I was looking at daigdigpinoy.blogspot.co.uk for example - this may be an e-magazine, but it does not appear to be a reliable source - the site is not working properly so while it may be under proper editorial control, we can't verify this.
  • Also, avoid sources that are closely linked to the subject, such as his the site of the art gallery that promotes his work. That is conflict of interest. Likewise, don't use his personal blog or anything - you want sources by people who are not directly connected to him.
  • Specifically about this article: why no use of the Rogue article I linked on my talk page as a source? That ought to be your main source for Cabangis. It is a very good, strong, third-party article that substantially discusses the subject and his work.

Also, please do remember to sign your posts on talk pages using four tildes in a row: ~~~~. You do not need to sign the articles themselves. Mabalu (talk) 09:36, 16 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Edited to add: All the pictues of the artists' works are under copyright and unless the artists themselves (who own the copyright) explicitly confirm that these images can be released into the public domain, such images cannot be hosted on Wikipedia due to international copyright law.
