Sohan Qadri

I have been following your very interesting article on Sohan Qadri, and have nominated it to be featured on the Wikipedia main page with the following hook: right|100x100px|Sohan Qadri after initiation in Jalandar, 1953

• ... that yogi Sohan Qadri (pictured) paints luminous works while in deep meditation and has been called "a saintly man from whom an aura emanates" by artist F.N. Souza?

However, for it to be featured on the Main Page, it needs to have an inline citation for the facts noted, including in particular the fact that he paints luminous works while in deep meditation. Payaluttam -- Questions have been raised about my nomination of your Sohan Qadri for use on the Main Page. In particular, questions regarding the copyright status of the images you have uploaded with the article. You indicate that you are the copyright holder for some of these images. Is that correct? If not, and unless you go through the process to obtain written permission from the copyright holder (and put that written notice on record with Wikipedia), the images would need to be removed. I think you've prepared an excellent article about a fascinating individual, but questions about the images may jeopardize the nomination to feature the article on the Main Page. RE: Copyright status of images

Thank you for your nomination to use the Sohan Qadri article on the Main page. I have placed this article on Wikipedia on behalf of Sundaram Tagore Gallery. For your reference the gallery's web site is: www.sundaramtagore.com. We own the full copyrights to all the images included in this article. The gallery has published the following catalogues which contain the images:

1. 2007 Sohan Qadri: Presence of Being, Sundaram Tagore Ink, New York, USA

2. 2005 Seeker: The Art of Sohan Qadri, Mapin Publishing in association with Sundaram Tagore Gallery, New York, USA

As I am a new user on wikipedia, I had some trouble with uploading images. I will post a written notice from the owner of the gallery verifying the copyright status and I will add more citations.
