Hey this is just to mention that i believe 169.229.65.29 is simply Hganesan under his IP adress. He is continuing to revert to his previous edits without discussion as well.

VandalProof 1.2 Now Available edit

After a lenghty, but much-needed Wikibreak, I'm happy to announce that version 1.2 of VandalProof is now available for download! Beyond fixing some of the most obnoxious bugs, like the persistent crash on start-up that many have experienced, version 1.2 also offers a wide variety of new features, including a stub-sorter, a global user whitelist and blacklist, navigational controls, and greater customization. You can find a full list of the new features here. While I believe this release to be a significant improvement over the last, it's nonetheless nowhere near the end of the line for VandalProof. Thanks to Rob Church, I now have an account on test.wikipedia.org with SysOp rights and have already been hard at work incorporating administrative tools into VandalProof, which I plan to make available in the near future. An example of one such SysOp tool that I'm working on incorporating is my simple history merge tool, which simplifies the process of performing history merges from one article into another. Anyway, if you haven't already, I'd encourage you to download and install version 1.2 and take it out for a test-drive. As always, your suggestions for improvement are always appreciated, and I hope that you will find this new version useful. Happy editing! --AmiDaniel (talk) 02:58, 21 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! edit

For reverting vandalism on my userpage [1]. I guess it's a good sign that so many vandals are determined to destroy my userpage =). AmiDaniel (talk) 06:36, 22 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Request edit

I was wondering if you would mind talking a look at Talk:Hemorrhoid#Image and then looking at User:Yourname's edits to the article. I recently removed the image in question seeing as how that's what most people were suggesting on the talk page, and then he promptly reverted me and left me a spurious vandalism warning. Looking over the article history in greater detail, he seems to be the one who keeps on reinserting the image despite its removal by multiple other editors. Thanks. --Hetar 19:55, 25 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Re: Image:Jellyfish sprain.jpg edit

Hi, thanks for the advice. How do I go about changing the license for the picture? -- Sprain 05:54, 26 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Image:PigsisPigs0.jpg edit

You wrote me:

Thanks for uploading Image:PigsisPigs0.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. PS2pcGAMER (talk) 08:37, 24 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

What are you talking about? The image's licensing is listed there. Jason Palpatine 19:06, 26 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

to which you wrote:

"Just because you took the screenshot of the image, that doesn't mean you have the right to release the image under a free license. The copyright belongs to the TV/movie studio that currently owns the rights to the film. That is the reason why I removed your GFDL tag. All images also need a source. I just asked you to add it and you did, so all is good with it now. Thanks."

My friend. If I gave you the impression that I was chewing you out, I'm sorry. That was not my intention. I did list the licensing when I uploaded the image. I was under the impresion that was what/all that was needed in regard to source.
Sorry about adding the GFDL tag; I missunderstood it.
Sorry, but you are confusing the hell out of me. Right now I can't tell which way is up and its getting hard to find the door. Any worse, and I'll wake up on the floor.

Your move was:

"....You might want to take a look at Wikipedia:Image use policy sometime, although it is quite long. That page will probably be able to better explain image usage than I have. Thanks." --PS2pcGAMER (talk) 03:57, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

Thanks back. I think I missconstrued the meaning at the time.
But you're wrong about one thing -- YOU are able to better explain image usage than the page is. IT, like a lot of other such pages, are like reading the DAVINCI CODE or some other such cipher. I can't even makes heads or tails about the userboxes page. Thanks. Is everything ok with the image(s) now? If there's anything else needed, let me know. -- Jason Palpatine 03:43, 27 May 2006 (UTC) 05:25 speak your mindReply
Yeah, everything looks ok with the image now. If you ever see a confusing statement, just drop a message on the talk page for the article explaining the problem. Hopefully someone will be able to clarify it so that other people don't face the same confusion that you have. Thanks! --PS2pcGAMER (talk) 03:05, 28 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Brian J Connor edit

Hey, I have created the artical Brian J Connor, but have no connection to "florgus." I saw the artical he wrote and it was all just dumb info. he made up. Brian Connor is a real person, so I figured I would create a real artical on him. I assure you all the info is true. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Unknownx (talkcontribs) 16:35, 28 May 2006.

Hi. I have tried to find the band on google and I got nothing. If you could provide me some sort of verification that they do exist, I'll consider undeleting the article. However, you should read WP:BAND to see if the band meets our requirements for notability. Thanks for dropping me a message. --PS2pcGAMER (talk) 06:51, 29 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Shaq edit

06:00, 29 May 2006 (UTC)~aduncan8434

Hey, I am webmaster for the website www.shaqattaq.net and every time I add it to the list of links on Shaquille's biography you guys remove it. This blows my mind, considering most of thelinks on there are now outdated and useless. I am on the verge of signing a contract and making this the official Shaq website, which replaces www.shaq.com (which is no longer available) and you guys say I am trying to "promote" my site.... I am only trying to "update" wikipedia to make it more up-to-date and accurate, not promote anything.... I am not vandalizing, but only helping. What am I supposed to do, write another chapter to his biography in order to get a link added? Come on, its getting a bit rediculous. If you think I'm vandalizing then you guys don't need to be editors on wikipedia. You keep removing shaqattaq.net and replacing it with Shaq.com which isn't even a website anymore.

Wikipedia gets spammed countless times a day. Wikipedia editors simply don't have the time to explore why a link was added. If it looks like spamming, then we remove it. When a person continually readds the link without explaining why, then it becomes hard to believe that the link is justified. The solution is communication. We reverted those edits 4 days ago. In between each of your edits, you didn't once try to communicate with us. I realize you are new to Wikipedia and there are a lot of rules to get use to, but that's the solution, communication. Bring it up on your talk page, my talk page, anyone else who has reverted your edits talk page or the talk page for the article. Explain your reasoning as you did to me. Please just don't ignore us and continue adding the link. In a situation such as this, the burden of proof is on the person trying to add the new link, not the people removing the link.
Now that we have gotten that out of the way. Let's take a look at the external link guideline. Specifically, point number 11 (a website you maintain) is of specific interest (note, the numbers have been changing lately as people have been editing it). The guideline is that if your site provides an exceptional resource, then someone will come along and add it. If you feel that it should be in the article and someone hasn't done that yet, bring it up on a talk page. If you feel that other links should be removed, discuss it on the talk page and/or use an edit summary. Anyway, bring this up on Talk:Shaquille O'Neal. Thank you for dropping me a message to explain your position. It truly is appreciated. --PS2pcGAMER (talk) 06:39, 29 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

JimB Comment edit

Hi, I would just like to apologise for my foolish and non-funny act regarding how i altered Shaq's biography. It was wrong and i won't do it again. Shaq is the man and what i did was not an attack against him. I just picked some celebrity at random and added a false category for him thinking it was funny at the time, disregarding the inevitable consequences. I hope i can continue to make contributions to wikipedia. User:Dbor009 01:00, 9 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

My RFA edit

PS2pcGAMER, thank you very much for your support in my recent Request for adminship, it passed with a final tally of (65/3/3) - which I find both amazing and humbling. I wish I had time to thank everyone personally, but I'm afraid all I can offer is this token of my gratitude. I hope to live up to your expectations/hopes. If at any stage you need to contact me, for help or a request or to point out a mistake in my conduct, please make sure to tell me on my talk page. --Fir0002 08:19, 13 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

User:Hganesan (yes, again) edit

After a succession of blocks by numerous admins over the last month, User:Hganesan has returned yet again to Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant. I don't want to waste a bunch of time edit warring with him again, so I'm instead going to try a new tactic. I'd like to get as many NBA editors as possible together on this, so that we can make a single unified push to the appropriate admins. I am at a loss for other tactics we can use to avoid his continued attempts to push his agenda and his unwillingness to compromise. Please contact me at User talk:Simishag if you're interested in helping out. Thanks. Simishag 23:25, 14 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

What to do about plagerism? edit

I edit the In the Heat of the Night Guide at TV.COM.(formerly TVTome) I have been since 2000.All of the synopsis were written by me.Recently Jesster79 aka JesseG began adding info here on an episode guide that I instantly recognized as mine.He had changed very little and also stolen trivia notes.I contacted him yesterday and asked him to stop.He has refused and says I'll just have to go through resolution to do anything.I have made it clear that I am notifying CNET as they take this kind of thing very seriously.I can show you comparisons.Any help would be appreciatedCalifornia12 23:12, 1 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

User:Gellersen edit

User:Gellersen has gone over his 3rr rule on the Anaheim Hills, Anaheim, California page under his name and his sockpuppet IP number 69.109.185.85. I count four reverts today, and he has not been blocked. THis IP number has been noted to be his, and others are suspected to be his, but havent been proven. In all, if all the IP addresses that are suspected to be his were proven to be his, he would have made 7 reverts in 24 hours. Just to give you the FYI. Thanks --OC31113 07:24, 8 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for Gran Turismo 4 Car List Excise edit

I saw someone else insert the car list inline (I think previously there had been a separate article which got nixed for the same reason). I knew it ought to go, but wasn't familiar enough with procedure or citations to feel I could nix the list myself. I stopped playing PS2 games at the beginning of the summer. I was on vacation, and we had household stuff to do, and I had to decide, "Do I quit?", "Do I do an insane amount of gaming?", or "Do I try to strike a balance?". I decided I couldn't strike a balance, so I quit. I was a Gran Turismo addict. Tourist Trophy therefore helped me quit. (Ha! Ha!) I'm too old for that kind of stuff, anyway. I might do some GT4 Mille Miglia's when winter comes, but I've been getting a little exercise in the meantime. Scariest thing is almost how little spare time I do seem to have even after removing such a big timewaster.--SportWagon 18:06, 14 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Responding to Your Message edit

Hi PS2pcGAMER, thank you for your question. I know you may show some concern about the images. Why I put them as promotional is because most of the time, when I usually do articles, my main source of photos is at the same place where I gather the information for my articles, which is http://www.conceptcarz.com/. Since they're a legit site that's been on for I guess a few years now, I can say that their photos are taken from the webmasters and considered promotional since they are posted on their own site with their site attached to one small side of the photo (I usually crop this out). So basically, they are showing their work in the media, thus considered "promotional" material. Well, if you might have any more questions on the topic, please reply back. Thanks again.
