Hello Mcampany. Thank you for the friendly welcome and helpful tips, which I will definitely work through. I'm very new and I have a lot to learn but enjoying being here so far. Thanks again for being nice to a newbie! PC Bain (talk) 15:14, 11 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

A barnstar for you!

  The Writer's Barnstar
This is a barnstar - not very often given to a newbie - but while you are still writing at an article a day then we need to acknowledge that. Three articles in three days - more help from me via my talk page and lots of fellow travelers at www.womeninred.org - nice to have met you - Roger aka Victuallers (talk) 15:22, 11 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Victuallers Thank you so much for the barnstar! This newbie is very chuffed with that. Really good to meet you too and thanks for all your help so far. I probably can't keep that daily rate up now but it was a good start. I'm already finding it an interesting process to see how those first articles are being received and developed by others. Hope to continue with more next week. PC Bain (talk) 17:29, 11 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Good start!

Hi there, PC Bain, and thanks for making such a good start. It great to see you have already created four articles about women: Mary Petherbridge, Hazel K. Bell, Gertrude Powicke and Barbara Wilson (psychologist). You might be interested in becoming a member of WikiProject Women in Red where we are trying to chip away at the gender gap. You can do so by registering through the box on the project's main page. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 09:56, 15 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello Ipigott and thank you for your good feedback. I have been part of two edit-a-thons run by Wiki Women in Red and really enjoyed them so I will look into registering as a member as you suggest. My fifth article is well under way in the sandbox so hopefully also up soon. Thanks again for the warm welcome. - PC Bain (talk) 10:40, 15 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
Yes, Nancy Bailey seems to be progressing really well. Let me know when you have completed your additions and I'll see if we can move it to article space. In future, your might like to create new articles in your user space along the lines user:PC Bain/Nancy Bailey. This will free up your sandbox for other things and will also allow you to develop more than one article at the same time.--Ipigott (talk) 09:02, 17 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
