Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page.

Police Assisted Addiction and Recovery Initiative (PAARI) moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Police Assisted Addiction and Recovery Initiative (PAARI), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Police Assisted Addiction and Recovery Initiative (PAARI)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Police Assisted Addiction and Recovery Initiative (PAARI), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. I did not identify my conflict of interest correctly. I understand and apologize for my actions. In the future, I will change my username and go through the correct process of identifying my conflict of interest as well as have editors check my article before it becomes public.

Decline reason:

How you identified your COI is only part of the issue here. Please read WP:COI(and possibly this plain language explanation of it) and tell us how your future edits will be consistent with that policy, as well as any topics unrelated to your COI that you might edit about as a general contributor. 331dot (talk) 17:54, 7 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I did not identify my conflict of interest correctly. I understand and apologize for my actions. In the future, I will change my username and go through the correct process of identifying my conflict of interest. I am currently indirectly employed by the Police Assisted Addiction and Recovery Initiative (PAARI) through Americorp. As such, I am an employee of the federal government, acknowledging that I have a conflict of interest. I will add the paid template to the top of my talk page in the instance that I am unblocked. Any new submissions that are in any way related to my conflict of interest will be submitted through the articles for creation process. In lieu of making edits within the realm of my COI, I will make content proposals. None of my edits or submissions will be promotional but rather references that are appropriate for an encyclopedia. I understand the importance of editing and improving Wikipedia and I intent to make edits that clarify and better preexisting material. I understand my wrongdoings and sincerely apologize. In the future, I will be a responsible editor, transparent about my COI, and more aware of my internal bias.

Accept reason:

The new username is fine. Please, before making any further edits, add the paid contributor template to your userpage, and proceed cautiously as you have described in your unblock request. Bear in mind that our articles should be neutral and encyclopedic, they aren't an extension of your web presence. Good luck. Girth Summit (blether) 18:12, 6 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for identifying your conflict of interest. Can you add the COI notice to the top of this talk page right now? Template:Paid is what you want to add. Also, please answer the questions below to help admin determine that you understand Wikipedia's policies and guidelines:

  1. Please read and confirm that you have read WP:COI (a short version of this is at WP:COIE).
  2. Why were the edits you proposed for Draft:Police Assisted Addiction and Recovery Initiative (PAARI) inappropriate?
  3. Please give an example of a neutrally, non-promotional sentence that can be added to an article. (Hint: WP:NPOV) Be sure to include a reference to a reliable source.

Feel free to ping me if you have any questions. Z1720 (talk) 18:52, 23 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

I added the COI to the top of the page.
  1. I can confirm that I have read Wikipedia’s Conflict of Interest page.
  2. My edits to Police Assisted Addiction and Recovery Initiative (PAARI) were inappropriate for a few reasons. Firstly, I did not add my paid conflict of interest. Second, I should have submitted the article through the Articles for Creative process. I should not make any edits to any pages with any involvement with PAARI or addiction directly, but rather propose changes so that they can be peer reviewed. The article itself contained bias that I was unaware of. As such, I will ensure that any article I write or edit is based on reliable sources only. I acknowledge that bias is hard to recognize, and will not contribute directly without going through a peer reviewed process. I appreciate the editors of Wikipedia for catching my mistakes and quickly correcting them to maintain the integrity of Wikipedia articles. In the future, I will be cautious when editing or writing articles, and will go through all the steps to ensure I do so in a way that will not jeopardize the integrity of the process.
