Hi! Thanks so much for asking a probing question about a suspected hoax on Wikipedia. As you noticed, the article on POCO is unreferenced and it would be a great concern if readers were relying on something that was made up. Most apparent hoaxes tend to be resolved with better research, but a few turn out to be whole-cloth inventions. By bringing of other editors to the article you've set that process in motion.
