Speedy deletion nomination of Pirate party of oklahoma edit
A tag has been placed on Pirate party of oklahoma requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please be sure to include any independent reliable sources that have written about the Pirate Party of Oklahoma. That's the best way to avoid deletion. Good luck. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 18:58, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
I tried to place all the independent sources I could think of right now. Some things, like the Platform, has not been covered much by independent sources except for the struggle regarding ballot access in Oklahoma. There is a news report by OETA-TV that mentions Marcus Kesler as the Administrator and shows that the party is politically active in Oklahoma, but the video was placed on YouTube by the Reporter and I have not been able to find a written transcript on the news site.Okpirates (talk) 12:18, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
Please see my comment on the talk page of Pirate Party of Oklahoma. In my opinion there should not be a separate article about the state party; rather, it should be merged/redirected to United States Pirate Party. My reasoning is explained there. I intend to go ahead and do this in a week if there are no objections; so if you object, please say so at the article's talk page before December 22. Nomination of Pirate Party of Oklahoma for deletion edit
The article Pirate Party of Oklahoma is being discussed concerning whether it is suitable for inclusion as an article according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
